May 23, 200620 yr Hey when you have a staff and can "set" a spell, how is the exp/hp/def exp calculated when you fight with defence tab selected? Really need to know, thanks!
May 23, 200620 yr usually if you dont put on defence, you will get 2 extra xp to your mage per damage dealt. If you put it on defence, 1 of that extra xp will go to defence and the other will go to mage eg if you deal 10 damage on anything but defensive, then you get, on top of the spell xp, 20 more xp if you put on defensive, 10xp will go to your defence, the other 10 goes to your mage Your HP will always be 1.33xp per damage The above values are dependent on the monster you fight (it will be near zero for random event monsters), but 90% of the time its correct 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Dragon Pickaxe Drops: 1 (Times after I first entered Battlefield: 2h)
May 23, 200620 yr Author Ok, so it actually decreases your magic xp gained, and not your hp? Btw, with a spell, when you cast it you get the base xp + amount of damage done right? So like you do a spell with base of 30 then do 10 damage you get 40 xp (If you were NOT getting def)... is that right?

No, as chenw said you get double the damage dealt as exp, so you'd get 50 mage xp. If you cast in defensive you'd get 40 mage and 10 defence xp.
