Personal Website

Featured Replies

I like to see what people have as their website lsiting. But soemtimes when I click on it, it takes me straight to the mainpage of runescape. I think that Tip.it should impose a rule that means you can't use Runescape or Tip.it as your website, it has to be a personal website. I mean you could still put google.

I'm thinking this is more a forum issue, but why not? Google isn't your personal website either. The more people refer to us, the more visitors we get! The more people refering to runescape, the more players rs gets. But ofcourse that doesn't account for these forums, since we all know tipit here and all know runescape :). But I realy don't see a problem. The thing could be that the link leads to what seems to be the rs.com homepage, but actualy is a scam webpage, to obtain your pass! If you see that, don't hesitate to report it by using the appeal thing at the top of the forum! (link)

I know what I know and what I know might well not be what you want to know but then seeing as only I know what I know and you do not know what I know then you will not know if what I know is what you would like to know

What I mean is people within this website. ON the forums here, people will put in their profile under website tip.it or runescape or something like that. So you really aren't getting any referals.

Preventing users from having RuneScape.com as their website would be a bit trivial.

I don't really think it's that big a problem and I doubt many people even consider looking at other user's profiles to see their website.

Offline and unavailable.

A system whereby users must provide proof that the site linked to is their personal sitewould require far too much work to code and for staff to monitor, imho.

Well, maybe you could still put Runescape there. But Bambino said it would get more hits for this website, when all along you have been on this website the whole time!

If you simply hower over the website button with your mouse, the link should appear in the statusbar of your browser, if it's a link you know, then don't click it... it's not any harder than that :)

I don't really see a reason to go in and make a filter for the websites, IMO it would just be a waste of time for either myself or Albosky...

I see your pint Ks_Jeppe. It would be extra coding. It was just a quick idea that popped into my head.
