No_OnE
Yes, it's very small but I didn't want to do a large one just yet. I just kind of wanted to mess around with shading and the colors and what-not... Anyway, here it is... I've been wanting to try and create signatures but I don't have the money for any of the programs and I don't know of any free programs that are very good. I didn't really have a lot of fun doing the pixel picture but I think I would have fun creating signatures like the one I have below.

misterxman
Interesting, looks a bit like a really abstracted bird too you'd see in a company logo. Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
No_OnE
Hmm... I just did a frog... Yay for froggies... Anyway, I got bored and decided to try something a little less abstract. I know it isn't very good and it's still very small but I'm taking baby steps... Well, here it is: Btw, I meant for the shape to be unrealistic. I know frogs don't actually look like that. Godslayer
A beginner who actualy starts small and understand the concept of learning to do small detailed areas before he does huge ones? Its a miracle! A good free program that I swear by is called Graphics Gale, google it. On your pieces, its encouraging to see some pretty good looking stuff, but one tip: Don't pillowshade. Pillowshading: Using dark colors on the outside of anobject, you gradualys gradient towards the middle where the lighter colors are. Very unprofessional, and in my opinion, bad looking. Try to feel out the shape of an object and get a grip on the lightsource before you shade something. I don't want to talk about all the techniques in pixelart here, so maybe a referal to a website that will explain better than I can will do: http://www.spriteart.com I smell promise! :)
imhomer
They both look good but you seem kinda confused asto where the light source is. In the first one the blue and yellow parts are shaded right but the red diamond is wierd :? The frog is good and I like the shading but the BG is kinda wierd. Like god said, try to avoid pillowshading and use shading more to accent details. Only other comment I'll make is that you seem to have used mostly on palette colors. They work for these pieces but remember to use colors closer to the grey for larger pieces unless you want it to be cartoony.
