considering going p2p?

Featured Replies

ok, so im considering going p2p for a month or two to see how it is and i may go for longer if i have the time. what i want to know is what quests should i do first, what skills should i train first, and what other advice should i head before i attempt this big leap from the world i know into a much bigger, scarier world?

i have completed all f2p quests.

hi - if you are on only for a few months, then I'd suggest the following:

1) get your agility up to 20/30. This wont take long, and you can use agility in f2p if you decide to go back.

2) do some quests. There are lots of fun quests to do. The plague city series is fun, lost city is good for you to be able to wield dragon weapons. There are some nice easy quests to do, e.g. the one where you start on herblore.

3) try out a few minigames. Pest control, Castle wars, etc. are lots of fun

4) try as much out as you can - there are so many things to do, just try and have fun.

5) dont worry about getting your stats up anymore - just plunge straight into it.

well, of course, yeah, i was basically going to just try out whatever came my way, but what specific quests should i do to be able to access the most of the p2p world? what was the name of the quest that lets you start herblore? and what about other skill unlocking quests? things like that are what im after most.

There was a thread made a long time ago that gave a little walkthrough of how new members should get started with quests and skills and what-not. It was a really well-written guide and you could tell they had given it plenty of thought. The only problem is I forgot what happened to it. It obviously wasn't pinned, but maybe someone has the link to it if it still exists.

Along the smae lines. If you go p2p for a few months and build a nice house would you be able to keep it when you go back to the free worlds?

well one you should know once you go p2p you will never even consider going back to normal. right now i think the thing you should focus on the most would be construction. its new and really big! everyone wants construction stuff
