use dwarven stouts to get into mining guild and mine coal or mith in there and sell.... or make bars outta them, and sell mith bars about 1k each

Heigh-[garden tool], Heigh-[garden tool], its off to work you go. Mining is the only real money making option open to you. Do as Stealther said, but I wouldn't bother with the mith. There's a lot of competition for the 5 ores and you'll mine 5 coal (sell for 200 each if you have a large number, say 500+) faster than you can make a mith bar.
