The best non-abyssal option I found was to take my pouches and noted ess out of the bank. Put on my nat tiara, and take out some cash (about 5gp per ess). THen fill the remaining slots with ess. Go to brimhaven and craft your first lot of nats. Run to the general store (NW of the village) and sell however many inv spaces you have open of noted ess to the store then buy back the ess, fill pouches, repeat. Then go craft your nats. Repeat the process until you have 30gp (your boat fare home) or no ess left.

Its slow but safe. Watch out for ess stealers though.

I crafted 1k of nats like this, got bored, decided to use the abyss. Never looked back really.

Note all your essence, grab a stack of cash, put on a nature tiara and take out 26 un-noted essence. Grab maybe 7-8gp per essence. Take the gnome glider to Karamja and run to the nature altar, and craft the 26 essence. Exit the altar, and head northeast until you find the general store. Sell 25 essence (preferably like sell 10, buy 10, sell 10, buy 10, sell 5, buy 5, just because there are people who steal essence) and buy them back. Don't sell 26, because one space was taken by the nature runes you just crafted. Walk back to the altar and repeat.

There's a "guide" I guess... Or that's the best way to do it without the abyss.

You won't be making a profit...but best way to power craft is to buy a bunch of dueling rings. Tele to duel arena, make fires, tele to cwars bank, repeat.

That would be all fine and well... except he specifically said he wanted to do Nats. ;)

Only real effective way (at least for me) was to have a lot of Glorys saved up. Now back when I had a circle of friends in game... Someone would literally trade me Enchanted Glory Ammys for uncut Dragon Stones. And when slayer came out... I found myself doing a lot of Fire Giant killing. Which usually you can average a half key drop almost every trip. So once I would get a key complete... I would pretty much get a free drag stone and I would trade that to my friend. It works a lot better then paying 100k (or whatever the price is now) for one.

NOTE: You also need about 20 Charged Glory Ammys saved up to do Abyss runs effectively. I almost left that part out by mistake.

...And I'm sure there are players in the community still that can provide you Dragon Ammys. Some might require you to get the items... however.

There are newer method with the introduction of POHs. But the Abyss and teleing to Edge via Drag Ammy is the most straight forward approach anyone could really take.

Only other method would be to note Rune Essence and take a load of GP with you and denote them via the General store at Tai Bwo Wannai (sp?). That costs money, but not a whole lot (if I recall correctly).

EDIT: Here is a discussion about the POH method. Works similar to the Abyss method I stated above, but you only really need one Glory Ammy (but house tele tablets to be effective).

20 glorys..i was gona try with 3..

Well... you can do it with 3, but its better to have a higher amount so you can focus more on crafting the runes. Rather then worrying about when you have to go and recharge your ammys.

I would suggest no less then 10. I said 20 for the simple fact that thats about the amount I had when I was doing Runecrafting.

3 ammys x 4 charges = 12 trips

26 + 9 = 35 Runes

900 runes to craft/35 per trip = 25.7 (rounded down) trips

You're making at least two or three trips to go and recharge ammys.

Its fine if you want to take the time to do that, but thats the down side to doing it with a small number of Ammys.

Course... 900 isn't much to make. When I was doing RCing... I was doing it on a much larger scale (but that was back when f2pers could still sell essence to p2pers as well).

I know, I was just giving him a nice alternative. He sounded like exp was more important than profit.

He also said he wanted magic exp as well. So I'm assuming he would be hi alching with those nats (using a fire staff).

Its all good, you prolly missed the magic exp part.
