bflitny1
A lot of people seem to merchant rune ores and bars, although I've heards it can be VERY hard to get a buyer. I don't merchant much, but what I usually do is buy chaos and deaths at the shop and sell to tzaar rune shop until I have 300k tokkul (needs about 33k chaos), then buy an obby gem and get someone to craft it for you, many tip.iters will do it for free :D then sell the fury for 4.5-5m, you can make about 1-1.5m profit each time, takes about 5-6hrs total though. Good luck. Drops: Barrows: 60+ DK: 4... Dragon: 60+ Whips: 2... GWD: 0...ouch!Main Goal: 2000 total with no 99's
indalecio
I've already tried that one. I have about 5k deaths stewing in my bank, collecting dust. Then you should sell them? Give you a 1,750k headstart. What i meant to say was that nobody buys them. I sat in world 2, I tried the forums, nothing works. EDIT: Those are all good ideas, though I think the D. Sq. sounds the most appealing. I've already tried runes, and I don't mess with treasure trail items.. EDIT:What I usually do is buy chaos and deaths at the shop and sell to tzaar rune shop until I have 300k tokkul (needs about 33k chaos), then buy an obby gem and get someone to craft it for you, many tip.iters will do it for free :D then sell the fury for 4.5-5m, you can make about 1-1.5m profit each time, takes about 5-6hrs total though. qopitar
I have 2,800k. I need, within the next 24 hours, 4,600k. Whoever suggests the most effective merchanting technique will be declared the winner. Take ... THE MERCHANTING CHALLENGE! Because of high alchemy, people are always buying yews. Go to world 1 and stand just west of west varrock bank. Buy yews in all quantities for 200 to 210ea. Eventually, you will hit the jackpot and someone will sell you 10k or more yews at once. Once you have as many yews as you can buy, advertise them in the Runescape forums for 240 to 250ea. As long as you are diligent about bumping your post, they will sell (it was taking me about an hour to sell 30k or so). If you buy at 200ea and sell at 250ea, you make 1 mil profit for evey 20k yews that you sell. While selling my yews, I would fletch some and buy flax / bowstrings. Yew long (u)s sell for 300ea and people love to buy long(u)s with matching bowstrings. There are people (at seers) who will trade you bowstrings for flax (which is an instant 50ea profit). In other words, keep yourself busy while you wait for people to respond to your post. Heck, I even made and alched yew long (s) while I merchanted. I primarily used this technique to go from about 2 mil to 12 mil (wanted a santa hat - no, I didn't pay 12 for the santa) in a short period of time. A red santa hat bought with "blood (autoer) money"? :D To a much lesser extent, I bought zammy pages for 200kea and sold for 250kea. I dabbled in other treasure trail items (full wiz t and g, black cavs, ranger boots, etc), but the yews were a much, much quicker and effective way of making money. When the RS economy fully rebounds, maybe treasure trail stuff will be viable again. Pay attention to prices and be aware of the risks. Jagex is bound to do something about the yew autoers sooner or later, what will this mean if you are holding 40k yews when a change is made? Who knows, could be bad, could be good (in the case of ess, a member holding a ton would have been a huge boon!). Prices have been all over the place lately because of construction. I'd say that, in general, they have bottomed out and are now heading back up. All of my ideas assume that you are p2p. If you are f2p, I can't help ya man. I have huge respect for people who prosper in f2p, that's a tough life. :) Ok, is there any doubt that I'm a huge nerd? :D

indalecio
offtopic: that is the most audacious fake yet! indalecio
Geez ... that hurts guys. :? EDIT: I wouldn't consider myself mindless, (I.Q. tested at 145) or a child (I'm 17 years old), but to each his own I guess. If you get off on putting down other people, don't let me stand in your way. What I said to what's-his-name wasn't an insult. I was just saying, merchanting is buying low and selling high. What he was suggesting was essentially fletching. EDIT: I wasn't joking when I said that hurts. I just wanted some advice ... Oh yeah. That's right. You're right that the idea was essentially fletching, but I thought you simply could have ignored it rather than make the "snarky comment" that you made. No real harm done, nobody meant to be mean, right? Ok, group hug and get selling some stuff! :) Who wants to buy a spinach roll for only 2 mil? :D
