ShadowSam19
OK, I got membership today, and I had some questions. 1. First, what gear should I buy? What is a necessity for members? 2. What armor/weapons should I buy? 3. I am going to do construction first, and I plan on "powerleveling" until a certain lvl, and then concentrate on my house. What lvl should I get to? What should I do for fast experiance? 4. Whats a good way for me to make money? my stats are below. My combat lvl is 80, and I have about a mil cash, plus around 3 mil worth of rune ores. Here are my stats: Attack: 65 Defence: 60 Strength: 70 Hitpoints: 66 Ranged: 50 Prayer: 45 Magic: 60 Cooking: 65 Woodcutting: 47 Fishing: 65 Crafting: 70 Smithing: 66 Mining: 85 Runecraft: 30 Thanks for any help. Noctis
Start by doing Lost City, Hero's Quest(if you can), Plague City, and any other quest that will help with travel. Do Priest in Peril and Ghosts Ahoy.

J_Dude79
Definitly do the Lost City quest. You'll need a Dragon Longsword until you do other quests such as Heroes and Monkey Madness to be able to wield the Dragon Battleaxe, Dragon Mace, and Dragon Scimitar. A good way to make money is through woodcutting. Based on your current woodcutting level, cut willow trees until level 55-60. If you want to stop cutting willows at level 55 and cut maples instead till 60, that's fine. But I advise waiting a little while for maples as they take a while to cut at level 45. At level 60 you can cut yew logs which sell for 300gp each. Once you get to level 75 woodcutting, start cutting magic logs which sell for 1k each. That'll make you a lot of money if you put time into it. As for Construction, it depends on what you are planning on doing for your house. If you want high-level rooms etc. in your house, you won't want to stop training at level 45. To get fast experience, you should make packaged furniture when you have built a workshop. Then you can try and sell them. The higher-level items you make, the easier you will be able to sell them. Hope this helps! :)

pokemama
On another post, I told the new member "Welcome to members, grasshopper." In your case/stats, I think you would be more like a 200-foot tall praying mantis ;) Wise pokemama master (^.^) (rofl) has created a post just for you: Guide for new members http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=317645 with suggestions on what to do first and how to initiate member skills. This guide will be refined and posted on the website shortly after we finish the main Construction Guide (groan!) which is actually less than a week away, I think. Noctis has the right idea about quests. The linked guide explains which quests will get you into desirable areas, allowing you to enjoy and exploit members to the maximum. Have fun and welcome to the larger RS World, heh heh! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. xvillexvalox
Fremnik trails is a must. Personally I think that Berserker helm is way better than a d med and the archer helm is a cheep alternative for a robinhood hat. Do preist in peril, Merlins crystal, and The holy grail to get your prayer to about 48. And if you want 52+ do ghost ahoy and ecto dragon bones. Get your runecrafting up. Many people make their millions by nat crafting. Want to get your magic up? Well the best way in members is to get 70 fletching (not too long) and craft your own/buy nats and high alch yew longs for a bit of profit, profit only works if you buy materials and make yew longs yourself, though some people will trade longs for materials sometimes. xvillexvalox
Ah, how can I forget, a few things to remember. Member pkers will own you. Don't attempt pking until you learn about them. Play castle wars! It's one of the funnest games ever! Recipe for disastor quest is a must for those gloves, but you need a bit of members experience before starting. Most importantly, don't be a noob. Read about members stuff on tip.it guides and the knowledge base, don't ask others for information, it annoys most of us.
