June 10, 200620 yr Nope, they spit out a very painful ranged fire attack. But you can safely mage them with an antifire shield on if you've drank an antifire potion.
June 10, 200620 yr I mage them all the time. Kwimbob, maging is much more safer than meleeing and it saves some prayer potions. Furthermore, "Protect From Ranged" doesn't work. This is a special combat-style only dragons can do. I don't know about the rest but here is solution on what I'd do. I always take with me: Full Zamorak Robe 875 Coins Mystic Fire Staff 3000 Runes (Chaos,Death,Blood:DependsOnTheBestRuneIHaveThat'sOver3K) Anti Dragon-shield 1 Antifire Potion (I kill only 2 at a time, I wouldn't kill more since I also want the bars. Run away from iron dragons (no reason to fight them since it takes long to run away) I'd submit my own guide, but it isn't probably allowed.
June 10, 200620 yr All I meant was that you can't mage/range them like most other monsters, but yes it is possible as these people described in a whole lot more detail and helpfullness :) But no you can't halberd them. You can drink an antifire potion but that still won't protect you fully because you need both that and the shield, which you can't wear if you're holding the halberd. June 10, 200620 yr Your best bet is maging them with anti drag shield at the very least! ~~~Sir po 1~~~
June 10, 200620 yr i usually range them with knives or javelins they drop, just use a antifire shield and stay outta melee range. you can stay there for like forever like that, all u need are antifire potions

They have incredibly high archery defence.
