It's Kamil this time and he's giving me more trouble than Dessouse and Damis put together. I'd like advice on the best way to kill him as I keep having to walk back up the mountain after each failed attempt (with no trollheilm teleport I might add). So thing like what to wear, which prayer to use and wether or not to melee would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

about 8 pray pots, monks outfit, 2-3 super restore pots and rest food. melee protect all the way until you reach kamil, and then put on protect from melee and kill him melee style, while drinking restore pots every so often. Eating is required because he freezes you, causing ALL of your stats to lower.

 

 

 

EDIT : i should have said wear prayer outfit. I also recommend trying to get trollheim teleport (edgar's ruse) so it makes this quest easier.

make sure that you have a few super stat-restore potions with you. This is the most important thing. About one 4-dose prayer pot should suffice for prayer if that. Basically, I took a superset and quite a bit of food + restores. I wore black dhide armour to reduce the damage from his magic attack, and had protect from melee on. whenever i was frozen i ate or drank a restore pot or superset so that I could deal a lot of damage to himwhen i became unfrozen.

Its not the troll stronghold quest that gives trollheim teleport, its Edgar's Ruse, which is quite an annoying quest due to the little minigame you have to play -.-

 

 

 

DT's hardest boss really depends on your items, i found kamil to be worst because i had 0 super restore pots -.-

Cannon is not good against a single target, you are better off meleeing him 1 on 1.

My problem with melee protect is that he freezes my socks off with mage when i put it on. And I went through a whole invetory of food without getting defrosted. Put I'm willing to try again.

i dont think d hides work, because his magic attacks are 100% accurate (no splashes, nothing), so i just kept there with my prayer and melee'ed him...

 

 

 

i will check again whether i put on mage or melee, i am pretty sure melee...

yep, i put on melee protection and used whip to kill him. the stat restore is essential, as well as prayer, thats why Prayer equip is a must up there, otherwise your prayer wont last long enough (you have to melee protect all the way from the bottom of the mountain until you kill kamil)

I thought I'd give you all a happy ending, I owned Karil when I followed Chenw's advice, got through the pyramid without being chucked out once and am now very happy. Thank you all for your help.
