Hey, I'm 60 mining right now and I'm f2p. I'm going for 85 mining. I'd like to make some profit on the way and i've been thinking of mining coal in the Mining Guild until 85. Is this a good idea or not? I've tried Powermining iron in Al-Kharid but I just cant stand dropping. If I do mine coal in the guild about how long would it take to get to 85 mining? Also if I keep power mining iron in Al-Kharid, how long would it take to get to 85 mining?

Its around 60,000 coal to 85 from 60.

If you can stand all that mining and all that time it takes, then sure.

its simple. make a post on here or in the rs forums. saying your hiring iron runners. if you doing it in the desert you'll probably only need 1 or 2 runners.

 

(as you get higher you might want to get another one) and all you do is mine the iron and then trade it to your runner. they run back to bank and come to you for more. this way you get the exp and you dont have to waist time dropping. (cause trading is so much faster) and finding runners is pretty easy because you may not care about the iron but other people will look at it like your giving away money. (which is kinda true, you need like 100k iron ore to get to lvl 85 and that much or will sell for around 10 mill gold)

you can get like 1k iron in 1 hour by powermining in al-kharid

dont mine coal in the mining guild it will take way too long. It took me 4 weeks to gain 2 lvls in the mining guild, in comparision it took me 4 days to get from 83 - 85 whilst powermining at al-karid. (study leave so i had time on my hands, but i was getting 40k an hour, so if i hadnt had all the spare time would of been around 2 weeks)

 

 

 

Also it is quicker to drop the iron at al-karid if you can mine the 3 iron and drop them before the first rock respawns.
