barrows help

i need help with barrows. I am poor (300k)and can't afford alot of bloods for wind wave. is there a cheaper way to do barrows effectively? I also want to know how many times i will have to do barrows in order to get a barrows item in the chest. here are my stats.

i used deaths...wind blast and did it fine....also u can use chaos runes...mixed with chaos gaunlets(cheaper way)..and for chests....its random when u get an item....you could do 100 trips and nothing...or 5 trips and get something...also u get death runes in chest so blasts are advisable

Chaos gaunts and Fire bolt is possibly the second best method after Slayer Dart for cheapness. Bloods are a waste in barrows, ESPECIALLY if you are on normal Magic.

 

 

 

How many runs before getting an item question, you will ALWAYS be given one answer : We do not know. You could get it on your first run, you could not get it in the next 10000 runs, we don't know. The odds seems 1 in 20 runs (thats killing ALL the brothers, AND it is STRICTLY the odds, it will unlikely happen.)

 

 

 

Get your mage up to at least 70's, and slayer up to 55, and then use slayer dart. Also as money saving tips, get your defence up (so you dont have to pray on Torag or Guthan when maging in melee armor), and your prayer (so you dont use as much prayer pots)

And consider doing rum deal maybe for the holy wrench if you haven't done it already, it means prayer pots restore more prayer.

Chaos gauntlets are from the family crest quest, and they increase the max hit of all the bolt spells (eg.fire bolt) by 3. So you could use fire bolt with chaos gauntlets and hit as high as if you were using water wave \

BTW, the reason why i said you need at least 70 mage for slayer dart is because the damage increases by 1 for every 10 mage level you get. Basically your slayer dart damage is your current (not base, which means potting would work) mage level, slash the last digit and add 10. So if you are lv 70 to 79, its 17 damage. at 80 - 89, its 18, and at 90-99, its 19.

as u said get your mage up to the 70s... do you have any tips on how to raise it fast/ cheap? like i saiud i only have 300k.
