how do i make image color transparent

i know there is a way to make a color on an image transparent cuz i used to make GIF animations

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but is there any way i can make a color on the image transparent and still keep the PNG format?

Best place would be to ask on the media board. All the arty folk hang over there :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway. I don't think you can on a PNG format. I always use GIF for transparent ones. I may be wrong though :?

You cant keep PNG and have transparency. Save it as a GIF and select transparency. (In PS)

.png does alone grant transparency and even a lot better than gif. It has a full channel for opacity, so you can make partial transparency instead of gifs full/none.

yeah the only problem with gif is that it sometimes looses color and makes it the pic all blurry
