As of the moment, not so wonderous  .

I was going to make an entire site dedicated to my experiences in RS, but this will do JUST PERFECTLY! So now I don't have to spend hours developing a site and I can just post and edit here :D .

Latest Stats:

Six Months of Stats:

stattimehr1.png

11-30-06: Level 60 Slayer now! Runecrafting, Herblore, Construction, Hunting, and Farming are all that is below level 60!

11-21-06: I reached level 60 Fletching today!

8-23-06:80 Firemaking! w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

8-18-06:Today I achieved 66 Magic and completed two quests requiring it. Find more about those below.

8-16-06:Got Level 70 Ranged from Pest Control today! I might be working on getting 66 Magic from Pest Control as well. Only time will tell.

7-2-06: I have all Stats level 50 or more! Construction was the easiest to get up to level 50, all I had to do was spend money  . Herblore and Slayer were not all too bad but Runecrafting and Farming were much more difficult than either.

--Construction: I made a POH Designer when it first came out and it had great success! Here's my current home minus the Throne Room, the Second Portal room, Bedroom, and the Quest Hall upstairs. The left hand corner is the upper portion of my house. I'm hardly ever in there, but one day I'll throw a party in there!

Future Design:

newhouse.png

This is how I will have my house at level 60. Notice the way it's made, easy access to the portal rooms, the throne room, the chapel as well. Very important for when I try out Barrows to make some money. Also notice how the Formal garden is near the Throne Room, allowing for something to be underneath the formal garden (so I can use the Dungeon Enterance). Hopefully I will have this design up in the summer!

The New Design will cost me:

Workshop 10,000

Combat Room 25,000

Quest hall 25,000

Skill Hall 15,000

Formal Garden 75,000

Portal Room 50,000

Study 50,000

Chapel 50,000

Throne Room 150,000

Kitchen 5,000

Costume Room 50,000

Total 505,000 Gold Coins =(

Official Tefda Plan

-First off I'm mining 4k Rune Essence to be made into 1k of each elemental rune.Completed

-Next I'll be mining Coal until Winter Break.

That's all for F2P

Winter Break Membership (One Month)

-I will be cutting down 731 Maple Trees and then picking Flax at Lletya. I will High Alch them as well. After that I will have 60 Fletching.Completed

-Fish 656 Monkfish and cook themCompleted

-Complete as much Slayer as I can with that food (60 Slayer)Completed

-If I finish with time left over I will mine a great deal of Iron at Yanille or Al Kharid.

Next round of F2P (Winter-4 Months)

-I will still mine Iron ore or run for people who are power mining Iron ore.

Second round of Membership (Summer-3 Months)

-I should have at least 6,770 Coal now. If I do not have an equal or greater amount of Iron then I will mine Iron ore at Yanille.

-Once completed I will Smelt/Smith all of the 6,770 coal at the Blast Furnace. I will then have 1,354 Steel Plate Bodies also 70 Smithing

-Alch all of those Steel Bodies.

-Cut down 2,218 Oak Trees and turn into oak planks

-Smith one set of Mithril Armour

-Build and replace 1,109 Mithril Armour Sets for 60 Construction

-Replace my current House Design with a newer one, involving an underground now that I am at 60 Construction

-Kill Chaos Druids and Play Pest Control for Herbs until 60 Herblore (Long Time)

That SHOULD take me the three months. I can imagine the Cutting of the trees and the Blast Furnace wouldn't take too long, but the Herblore will take ages! That is my plan for the year. Hopefully all of my F2P time will pay off and I'll be rolling in upper level skills. Once all of that is done, I'll be left to Runecrafting, Slayer, and Farming as skills below 60.

Recent Events!

NEW:12-04-06: The hunting areas are very open in the mornings.

Recent:-

10-30-06: Just in time for December....

60slayervh4.png

So Very Happy!

I just have five skills that are left to get up to 60. Hunting (Easy supposedly, Haven't tried it yet), Construction (Medium, I need to first get to 70 Smithing), Runecrafting (Hard, I have all the Pure Essence I need but still it's boring), Farming (Medium, I don't think this'll be too bad), and Herblore (Hard, it'll take a lot of Herbs!).

OLD:-

10-14-06:I've set up a plan for the next few months. Since I will be playing sparsely, Mining and RCing wont be as boring as it would be in long stretches. I'm pretty sure I'll be following this plan as strictly as possible. I'm saving all of the quests that come out for one summer. I love doing quests but I hate having to wait a long time for them to come out. I figured if I just focus on increasing my skills for a great while and then focus on the skills.

I love the skill experience you get from quests but I don't think I'll be missing out on too valuable of experience. My skills are fairly decent. Everything above 50, several skills 70+, I'm pretty sure Jagex wont release all too many quests with skill requirements greater than 60. Although I have seen a thread on the official forums for High Level updates. Pretty interesting. I've got to work on my stats to get everything 60+, then 70+. If I get ALL of my skills 70+, I'll start focusing on skills that I can stop doing and max it out, i.e. Construction, Herblore, Mining/Smithing. Once I reach 99 in those skills I'll pretty much never have to do anything with them again. But I can guarantee that'll be years from now. I'll need way more free time than I do now to even begin to get close to all skills 70+.

Well Today (8-23-06) I found that getting the Herb Packs from Pest Control is NOT a good idea. Sure it's nice to get 15 herbs at once but still it's a lot of points for 15 herbs. I spent about 30 points to get 45 herbs and it barely put a dent in my herblore level. I guess it's back to Chaos Druid killing for herbs.

Also, I just so happen to reach my first 2 Million Experience in a skill today. That's right level 80 Firemaking! Only 19 more levels away from 99 Firemaking and of course another 11 Million experience points, but that's what Magic Pyre Logs are for!

-

On 8-18-06 I managed to get to 66 Magic and I completed two quests! I walked into the Wizard guild the first time ever!

Here are my escapades in Magic recently.

I have not updated in a LONG time(8-16-06)! I've been in Norway in case you wanted to know  but nonetheless I've managed to get to 70 Ranged with about 43 points from Pest Control. I've got 27 Days of membership left and then that's it. I wait for Winter Break to renew my membership.

During my F2P Time I'll be Runecrafting thousands of elemental runes and mining lots and lots of coal, Mithril and Adamantite. I'm just preparing again for my next stint at Membership (I'll be doing the mundane things in F2P and then during winter Break I'll attempt Desert Treasure, Receipe for Disaster and any other quest I haven't done yet. Then after Winter Break I'll head back to F2P and prepare more ores and essence/runes. Then during the late spring and summer seasons I'll be back on Members for the three to four months until school starts again. Keeps expenses low)

I've got 27 days and I need to make the most use of them!

90 COMBAT FTW!

Yeah, got 90 Combat today(7-9-06) from Pest Control. I think I may have gotten around 75 points in under three Hours I think. But I now am officially able to be a member of Affliction instead of just tagging along on their coattails! But besides that I'm heading back down to the Shade Temple in case anyone's interested in Joining me.

-

I've been sitting in a bank for the past hour or so, creating Pyre Logs for the Shade of Mor'ton Mini-game as I'm going back down there to Smite some Shades and then record their loot and finish up the Shades of Mor'ton Mini-game Guide I'm working on.

After I finished making the logs, I went to relax with a game or two of Pest Control. I ran over to Pest Control on World 59 and to my surprise I stumbled on a decent group playing Pest Control, there were about 50 or so of them and so the wait time was little and we never lost a single fight. I (at level 89) saw most people as Orange, a few Green, and a few Red, but it was a pretty good group and I got another 20 or so points from them. But they're NOWHERE as good as Affliction!

-

Recently I've completed almost all of Recepie for Distaster and am at the Boss Battles, unfortunately I've got to complete Desert Treasure and I feel that I'm in no way ready for that.

Alright so just making a little bit known, I'm going off to University tomorrow morning. This'll be my last post for the night and after that I'm putting my computer in storage and the next post I make will be from my College Dorm room.

I, like many others, am holding off on being a member for the next few months and instead am going back to F2P but not before I go out with a bang. If my schooling is doing alright and nothing in the real world is happening, then I'll be holding a party event in two locations. One at the Shades of Mor'ton Temple and then after maybe an hour or so of that I suppose we all can head over to my House and have a good ol' time and I'll be dropping lots and LOTS of stuff in my house.

It might be considered junky items, but it's a drop party nonetheless  . So on September 9th (if everything with me is A-Okay and no TET events are scheduled for then) I'll be hosting a Mor'ton/House/Drop party. I'll be posting more details closer to the date in General P2P.

This blog, is truly filled with wonders. . I'm so corny, just trying to match the title, sorry. :-w

back to rs, i guess. it's been 4 months.

RSN:P H Osho <- gonna start on him soon, fresh.

Just a bit of a bump and letting those who have read my blog about my Super Cool Drop Party and other various things.

I've officially gotten 31 Levels from playing with Affliction in Pest Control and I'm now done with Pest Control and I can start working towards getting supplies for my party (Limestone Bricks, Timber Beams, Olive oil, etc.) and I'm on the last nine things of my latest game  . It'll be out within the month of September (I missed August :( ) and while not being a member I'll have time to work on a new game each month as well!

I'll still be active in these forums and I'll still showcase my games here for the viewing public (in the Gallery section of course). That's it. I look forward to seeing you all at my party!

Tefda, I'm so glad you've enjoyed Affliction so much. You've been a great ambassador for it here. :)

Best wishes for success in your freshman semester. Sounds like you have your priorities in order, and that's the best start you can make.

Cya on the boats when you return,

That's it, I'm out of Membership. I have EXTREME doubts that I'll be playing very often but who knows. I do know that if I'm playing I'll be mining Essence or Ores, or Crafting Basic Elemental Runes.

I'll be sure to post my latest games in the gallery though (I've got some great ones in the making so far and my newest one is the MOST COMPLEX game I've made yet).

good luck m8 :)

A bit of a bump from the back of the page.

First off I've just completed the first of my goals. I now have crafted 1k of each elemental Rune. Unfortunately I'm stuck carrying 3.5k Earth Runes because I have way over the f2p limit of items.

But aside from that I just want to give a little rant.

Miners Respect.

Back in my day (Wow, I feel old saying that!) when you were at the Mining Guild you would never, EVER mine a rock that someone else was mining or got to you beforehand. If you DID then the generally accepted rule was to offer the ore to the other person (which you of course, being the decent being you are would decline).

What the heck happened? Did I miss something between the transition of RSC and RS2? As I'm starting my coal mining extravaganza, even at 1 AM Central Standard Time, a Chicago server has about ten people in the Mining guild. Not a single one of them followed the age old traditions set down by their forefathers.

When I first joined the Mining Guild back in RSC I learned two things, it's not right to enter with a Dwarven Stout AND you do not steal someone elses ore! You learn this by the polite interactions of others. For example "Hey, do you mind not mining the ore that someone else is mining?". Something simple like that and with common courtesy people learned how to act down there!

But I suppose with this massive influx of people joining the game, it's become more competitive. Look at it this way: the minimum level to get onto the Mining High Scores is 53  . That is ridiculous! There are just too many people trying to get these ores!

The solutions to this are many. One, increase number of servers, two, create alternatives to the Mining Guild (i.e. the Mining Carts), three, create a higher level guild for those with 70+ mining. If Jagex really wants the Higher Leveled players to be happy, give them better training options, make it so that you must complete a series of quests with various high leveled requirements and then spoil these players.

Jagex has already decreased the learning curve for RS because of the tutors, now those little newbies who didn't know how to fight or use magic and didn't have the common sense to look for help from fan sites are now starting to gain levels and get "up there". They've spoiled the incoming crop of players. They, Jagex, has created many, many quests tailored to the mid-ranged player because that's how far most of their players have gotten. They are now taking steps in the right direction by honoring the players that have had great accomplishments with the "Achievement Capes" that are planned to be released this month. But that is by far not enough. Reward players who have reached the upper levels! Give them a break when it comes to reaching those few last levels, make it not as TEDIOUS!

Mini-games are a huge thing for higher-leveled players as it's a break from the norm. But they deserve something more for being such diligent players! Lastly I believe that we should have some sort of creation date for each of our accounts so we know EXACTLY how old our accounts are, just another thing to show your age/dedication to the game.

I feel like such an old fogie when I talk about RSC. There are people out there who are purely RS2 players and have reached levels far beyond anything that I've reached. But I at least have known the game for years more than them, I experienced when the Developer to User communication was more personal and less proffessional. But times they are a changin'. In four years from now Runescape will still be around but how many of "us", the original players, the few, the scattered, the Classic players?

For every player that is covered in cobwebs, who weeps for the loss of a world once shared by few, who fades, slowly but surely, away from the game and the community that he once belonged to and swore by steadfastly, there arrives tens of new players, each being only a shard that fits irregularly into the place left by the archaic player. Few of them reach a level, a figurative level, that is similar to that of their predecessor.

Yes, I belive that the RS community is degrading, but I cannot say that everyone is bad, in fact far from it, I've had fun with hundreds of these new people, I've made some good friends with young newbies. But if they do reach a point in which their ineptitude shows, I cut them loose.

I belive eventually there will be a HUGE divide between Higher-levels and lower-levels. The maximum a player who is only a shard will reach is around fifty, enough to have beaten Dragon Slayer. From there they will settle and simply brood and debate where he/she fits into this game and whether or not to continue it (for example move into the members worlds). But many will not. Which will cause a great gap to exist between the mid 50's and the upper 80's. Those who are in the upper 80's are generally accepted by the elite class of 100+. These higher leveled players will form their own websites, their own forums, they will share game secrets, assists you in mini-games, aid you in quests, your success will be dependent upon them and you must integrate with them or be cast out.

Of course there will be the few that will browse website like Tip.it and still aid the lesser caste. What of those caught in-between these two sides? My best guess is they would not want to associate with those of the lower levels and will strive, as best they can, to level as fast as they can to the higher ranks. Then we have the ones who will not become members and yet are still 100+. These will be very outspoken people, they will be on forums constantly demanding update for F2P, telling people not to be so divided! I could not tell you how their struggle will turn out.

In summary here is what I believe is happening now. Currently everything is just fine. But in a few years as our pseudo-famous forum members start declaring their retirement it will set the stage for new people to arise to similar internet fame. These new high-classers will be todays normal players. Generation Two (Gen 2) for ease. Gen 2 will be alright as well. I believe it is Gen 4 that will be the problem. These will be the players who have only learned from the shards of well-fitting pieces.

This will begin the seperation, more and more players who only reach the level 50 mark will be playing in the F2P world. As more of them begin to exist, the higher leveled players will start migrating further towards members. I'd say it will take about four years to reach Gen 4. At this time I'm sure that internet accessibilty will have greatly improved. People will be able to make websites with their eyes closed and one hand tied behind their back. Groups and organizations will begin to form requiring Combat Levels above 70, 80, 90, etc. When people begin to seperate themselves from the newbie generations they'll begin to develop the same ideas, act similarly towards the lower caste of players.

And then the mid ranged players will have to decide if they want to belong with the lower caste OR work their way to the higher levels to join the elite forces of RS.

Held up high behind password protected forums and websites these higher leveled players will be comprised of late teens and young adults. They will find it neccessary to only associate themseles with each other, train with each other, quest with each other. By then the Higher level content will surely have been increased and they will be satisfied.

WOW  . This was honestly supposed to be just something to say "Hey, I completed one of my goals!" and it turned into a rant and an "End of the RS World as we know it" tirade! Sorry if I've offended anyone. I guess I do not see the peace of Runescape lasting for much longer. It does make sense for people to band together with people similar to them. And groups like that are already forming, I can guarantee they'll be more prevelant in the future with Clan-Support and Random Scenarios that will come out some time soon (hypothetically). Again, sorry if I offend anyone. I think that everyone here on Tip is pretty much made of good material. It's just those that follow in the next four years, I cannot say.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be one of those high levels in the future complaining about the low levels and hanging out only with those who think similarly. I know it sounds bad but if simple traditions as Miners Respect cannot remain in RS, then perhaps a mass exodus of high levels should take place? It is not for me to know, I can only make an educated guess. I can't wait for four years from now and see what it will be like. Discuss if you wish.

gratz on 80 FM, you can now burn the highest shade possible :D to bad your not a member anymore good luck with the rest of your goals aswel
