Im wondering what would be better to wear, equipment that gives bonus to strength but with a not so great defence, or better defence with no bonus to strength. I see many people wearing a climbing boots + obby shield combo but my question is, is it worth it? Or, will I be able to get through more monsters because of the added strength bonus regardless of the fact my defence bonus is lower?

 

 

 

Now i'm guessing this is dependant on a few things and change from player to player and situation to situation so I'll give a rundown of my gear and stats.

 

 

 

Level 87 combat with 71 attack and defence, 70 strength, 71 hits and 51 prayer. My gear is full torags with d sq and rune boots and legends cape + whip. So basically i'd be siwtching the boots and shield for strength bonus. Would it be worth it? The lower defence would mean I get hit harder but I'd be hitting harder too, but enough to compensate?

ya go offensive.. especially because with your stats you dont have much offence, you definatley should go obby/climnbing

well just take this into consideration

 

 

 

DEFENCE=if you get more defence you will get a few lower hits yet you wont get hit so much

 

 

 

STRENGTH=you can hit higher but you will also get hit more then you would with higher defence

Yes, both of the equipment pieces are worth it. The only thing you should stay away from are defenders, they are just plain bad.

Defenders are great =o
