try resizing it to 80x80 pixels, then just upload it on your profile page

Making an Avatar is hard to do, at least for me. :P Usually either the pic is too big or the memory is over 6KB. Basically, I don't really like making Avatars because they always take up too much memory. So, maybe Google the pic you're looking for and save then upload it.
