each person takes up 2 gb in this game lets say. 3,000,000 players=6,000,000 gb my computer costed $400 for that much and yes i know rip off. 6,000,000X400=$2,400,000,000 two million dollars....with players alone... most free players at that. the needs the money to pay the bills. think about it

I estimate every person takes up 5 - 15 mb or so.

anyways the reason runescape is so much superior to wow is that wow has THOUSDANDS of workers who have fancy degrees and a large budget, yet runescape came from a couple of guys who knew c++ and is now the largest free mmporg in the world

remember not all the money they get is pure profit. They have to pay for servers, staff, bills, and to update game etc.

from the point i red earlier, yes WoW has only been out a few years and Rs has been out alot longer. But in that short time it has allmost got 3 times as many users paying there subscription price...

 

 

 

WoW is a faultless game apart from lag at time. Rs would have to come along way to catch up

for ages i was playing like a maniac thinking that one day when im a few hundred exp off 99 str or summat and my hands are shaking and theres a smile on my face that feels like its stuck there (you know that general feeling of anticipation really...) well RuneScape just dies...no more runescape.

 

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell...if they are making that much money off it then i got nothing to worry about so my crazy insane ambitions of getting 125 cb and 99 in all skills and making some ownage pures...arent that crazy or insane.

A GB costs about 1$ for the bigger amounts, also if 1 player takes up 2 GB it would be way to much. more likely to be less then 50 MB per player.

 

That is 3,000,000 * 50 = 150,000,000 MB = ~150,000 GB = $150,000.
