I'm doing The Haunted Mine but I can't hit that boss before I get killed. Anyone got tips to defeat him?

DDS spec is no bad idea. Anyone who did it another way? Does range work? Or maybe I could use Snare...

eh that fight is brutal as you take massive damage each step you make, and only get one shot at him before he moves.

 

 

 

Melee is twofold painful in that you take maximum damge per swing and you miss, alot.

 

 

 

Range is slightly better ut misses are common and max damage is much lower than melee.

 

 

 

 

 

Your best bet is use range prayer and the best fire nuke you can cast. if you cannot use wave, only use blast spells if you've not done family crest for chaos gloves.

 

 

 

If you have chaos gantlets, no point ever to waste deaths on nukes when chaos level does almost the same damage.

 

 

 

Even if you Rc deaths, sell them for more chaos =)

 

 

 

Regardless, haunted is a really tough fight, far harder for me than anything from d treasure.

protection prayers never done alot for me on this quest, in fact they done nothing at all, just run in and melee him, he goes down quick enough really.

 

Just keep eating and you will be fine, might be worth you spending some money on sharks if you have some cash available this will save alot of clicking.

 

 

 

edit: i just read that back to myself and it seems like im making it out to be easy, and it certainly is not, may i also add i lost 2 full runes 3 berserkers a glory a bunch of runes and other stuff, i died 3 times before i eventually beat him, that was at around 70 combat, went back at 84 and hammered him though.

I would go on maging. Your added range will make you hit him more and faster then when battling melee style. Bring Staff, runes and enough of good food (I used tuna potatoes, I suggest at least lobbies) and mage the guy, while eating when hit. The range also prevents you from getting hit often by the cranes.

I did, and died (at 96 combat) with whip, warrior helm, glory, rune defender, and rune plate and legs. Lost helm, glory, and defender.

 

 

 

Prayer does NOT work. Meleeing isn't great, so try mage or range.
