Farming exp via trees

Recommended Posts

I heard that trees are awesome for exp...but how do you go through the process? Plant the seed in a pot, water it once, wait for it to grow and then plant it and thats it? Then dig it up and plant a new one?

Thanks in advance

Exactly, you get the majority of the xp from a tree when you check it's health when it's done growing. After that, it's only use is wood or fruit (which picking fruit gives a small amount of farming xp also). Also when planting trees, ALWAYS have the farmer watch them for you. Since they take a while to grow and are such good xp, it's too risky to take the chance of disease.

If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.

plan seed in a pot of dirt. water it, let it grow in your inventory. with a trowl, plant it in a tree patch. makesure it wont get diseased. when the tree is full grow, "check" it's health. checking health is the majority of it's xp. so you have to grow a good, non-diseased tree before you will get most of the xp. but yeah, its a really good source of xp. check the tip.it guide to see how much xp per tree.

if you want a big pile of tree seeds, use miscellania to get maples. you get nests quite regularly - I got almost 50 nests after 10 days of accumulating my resouces from miscellania.

but in answer, trees are by far the best way of getting good farming xp. Watermelons aren't bad either if you get a good yield from your plants. Just to echo what the people said above, make sure you get the farmer to look after them.
