Runecrafting Query

I've just finished the Trollhold Quest and received the Law Talisman.

 

I now want to increase my Rune Crafting level quickly (currently 51) to 54.

 

 

 

I don't have the stats for Abyss runecrafting, and have quite a few normal rune essences banked. Crafting airs is time consuming and I only really craft natures to high alch bows fletched.

 

 

 

I was thinking about alternate means of rune-crafting and was wondering whether the following would work well (it's a fusion of rune-crafting natures using the bank and fire runes):

 

 

 

If I log on to a F2P world and withdraw all the rune ess (noted) with some cash, I can craft at the fire altar, run down to the bank, sell noted ess, buy back and craft again. Repeat till essence exhausted / bored senseless.

 

 

 

This (without trying it) looks to be as quick if not quicker than using Duelling Rings, but also works out cheaper. It's also got to be quicker and gains more Xp than crafting airs.

 

 

 

I just wanted your thoughts before giving it a whirl to see if it works.

how do you sell ess to the bank?

 

 

 

why not use the duel arena bank?

 

 

 

also using duel rings is quicker then running around.

Well you can't runecraft with rune essence on runes that aren't elemental runes, mind or body runes.

 

 

 

You have to get lvl20 mining and mine pure essence.

 

 

 

Normal essence won't work since it doesn't do anything other than elemental runes mind and body. :shame:

I thought pure ess was on the member specific stuff (chaos, law, nature, cosmic and astral), but if you've got normal essence you can use it on any F2P altar.

chavster, by bank I assume you meant general store, and from the sounds of it your plan is quite sound. I don't think the other guys understood it too well. When you say you haven't got the stats for abyss crafting, how do you mean you haven't got the stats for it?

Well, I'm sorry if I was giving wrong info. I didn't see you mention anything about fire runes, I thought it was laws.

This isn't the first thread I've seen where you've failed to notice something, namely a large part of the point of the post, maybe in future you should take time to read things slowly and throughly, maybe 2 or 3 times through so you're sure you've understood it?

 

I just thought chavster, have you considered doing something like air crafting on a f2p world where there are runners? I know there was a world 16 company, that may be faster if theres enough runners coming through. Theres only a difference of 2xp between air and fire rune, which'd be like 50xp per inv?

one of the main reasons for braving the abyss is to get the pouches. At your level you should have 3. So in the 3 spaces these pouches use you can carry 15 ess.

 

 

 

The bank in the duel arean is slightly closer than the bank in Al Karhid. The shop is closer to run to than the bank, but for that slight distance you are paying to get your noted ess unnoted - is it worth it?

 

 

 

I presume you are using boots of lightness.

 

 

 

You could also try wearing prayer robes and carrying a mace in order to boost your prayer and use the recovery prayer to increase the speed you regain your run stamina. You can recharge your prayer in the duel arena
