Wireless question

Ok. In my household, we have a wireless network, and i have my tower running with a wireless card. I would have liked to hardwired it from the router, but it was impossible in my circumstance. I would like to find a solution around that though. Is there a receiver i could get that links wirelessly to the rest of my network, so i can hardwire my room devices (ps2, computer, and ps3 in november)? It may be a stupid question, but i never really dove into wireless before. If there is a product you'd reccomend, let me know. All help is appreciated.

Sounds like you have a stand alone access point at the moment. You need to get a wireless router. Most come with 4 ethernet ports in 10/100M speeds (you can get gigabit now if you look around), and still support 802.11b/g wireless.

If you don't already know what wireless standards you're running in the house, you should probably get someone with some more computer knowlege to look at your hardware so you don't go buying something your current wireless cards won't use.

I believe you could try an ethernet bridge. I'm not exactly sure how they work, so if someone could elaborate (or explain why this would not work), it'd be appreciated :)

My router can handle about 10 people (without noticable slow speeds) on wireless and 4 hardwired ports. I have my ps2 in one and both of my desktops on the other. I only use the wireless for this laptop, and if my mates come over.
