July 29, 200619 yr k, so I always hear about people alching high level bows, how do you make a profit from this, do you make them yourself? I dont really understand the process of "alching" flecthing materials, so if anyone can tell me, I would like to know. :)
July 29, 200619 yr this is how they do it. they make their bows, then they use the high alchemy spell on them. they profit because they made the bows themselves and didn't spend anything. sometimes they make even more profit because they made their own nature runes also instead of buying them. some people (like myself) use steel platebodies instead of bows. its a good way to make money and you get xp in several skills Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.
July 29, 200619 yr logs = free if you chop it yourself Bow string = 150 gp ea Nats = 250 gp ea (if you buy in guild Total cost for a yew long bow alch = 400gp ea. Money from a yew long bow alch = 736 gp I think (been a while) Profit= 336 gp ea. Off of 1k bows that's 336k and 50k magic experience. 736k profit if you make it all yourself. We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.
July 29, 200619 yr they buy the all or some of the materials needed and string the bows themselves. doing so should give you a slight profit. yew longs: yew logs 250ea bowstring 150ea nature runes 330ea total 730gp high alch 768gp magic longs: magic logs 1k bowstring 150ea nature 330ea total 1480gp high alch 1536gp
July 29, 200619 yr Author I am so doing that, but i plan to do it with magic bows, since i can make enough unstrung willow bows to get to 85 flecthing, Because im getting tons from 99 wc :). I plan to do everything myself, longer time, but 1k magic bows equals guick 1 mil!
