ForsakenMage
It's a shame to see how the RuneScape player community has developed over the years. If there is anything to blame, it's just people themselves. If you want to be considered "powerful and mighty," sometimes just being polite is enough. It's not whimpy to say thanks. It's not whimpy to ask for help. It's not whimpy to team up with players to PK in the wild. It is whimpy when you stoof yourself to use racial slurs, inappropriate language, etc. just to make yourself look "cool." saidada1189
My friend, an asian, has a brown character. He once got told to "clean the table, you *ing n****" He also got, Get out of my house you animal Racism is a real problem in the RS community. It is not new, but very old. I do not think that theus problem is solveable because the average maturity of ruunescape players is low (no offence) O:) -sai STOP THE RACISM!!! I completely agree with you ,but when you do something to annoy someone, IE, Pk them, the only thing people reach for is racial slurs. We should probably petition to jagex to increase the amount of action taken against racist but then again they would probably ban someone for calling another person "black", "yellow" or something like that and ban them for asking what ethnicity a player was! ForsakenMage
As far as I know, Jagex does take racism just as seriously as all other offensive language reports (including sexual harassment, etc.). In terms of asking for one's ethnicity, I don't think that's against the rules... :-k I know that in some places or for some people, calling someone "black" is not always offensive. However, if you were to call someone "red" or "yellow," one can expect a good bit of yelling. This is an issue when it comes to having something international. You try to set a standard of what's good and what's bad, but in the end you simply cannot cover everything.
