Biabf
A very simple update yet a necessary one. When people go for a fire cape they spend millions of gold and hours of work. Imagine how happy you would be if you finally get one on your 10th try? That's an average of 20 hours!! That is a long amount of time... Now, imagine you had just lost that cape... You were training cooking at Rogue's Den and while on the forums an evil chicken comes, no problem for anyone else but you die and lose your cape while reading about a Hidden Update with the experience gained in Farming. How angry would you be? 20 hours, gone like that... I suggest Jagex makes the NPC which gives you the cape, return it when it is lost so people don't lose hours of their lives. Thanks for reading! evanboy70
Well, what if I feel my green dragon hide armour was really hard to obtain? Should I be able to get it back if I die while not paying attention to the game? If you have something of value, then maybe you should be attentive when it is at risk. People just need to learn to share crabs.I'd prefer my nether regions clear of diseases, thank you very much.just turn off accept aids
the_tallest1
Despite what some might think about the cape, this is something I'm surprised Jagex didn't do when they released it. There's really little point in having it to use as it should be because of how much trouble it is to get back. If they wanted to make it slightly difficult to get back they could make it where you have to defeat just Jad to get another. Although I'd just prefer you get it back from an NPC. Also, I have no desire to get the cape and even I agree that it should be changed. Nearly every other item that's similar can be reobtained with little effort. This should be no different. 571st to 99 Fm Nov. 4 '06 - 315th to 99 Crafting Mar. 3 '07 - 3410th to 99 Fishing Sept. 18 '0726378th to 99 Cooking Oct. 16 '07 -.- 99 Thieving Dec. 29 '07 - 1343rd to 99 Farming June 5 '081807th to 99 Agility Nov. 8 '08 - 3094th to 99 Smithing Feb. 14 '092012 total - 91 combat

I just think this should be introduced for people who lose theirs. Well, what if I feel my green dragon hide armour was really hard to obtain? Should I be able to get it back if I die while not paying attention to the game? If you have something of value, then maybe you should be attentive when it is at risk. It is not... This is one of the hardest objects to get in the entire game. Lose a dragon chain? Buy one back in 5 minutes. Lose green hide armour? Make it, kill for it, buy it in 5 minutes. Lose a fire cape? Spend at least 2 hours and millions getting it back, you could spend another 20 hours getting it back. Imagine in real life, you had your own house, you recently lost your wife in a car accident and only have photos to remember her by. One night you leave the oven on and your entire house burns down, you get away, none of your belongings do. You lose all the photos of your wife, the house you can get back with insurance, the photos you can't. How would you feel? I know damn sure how I would feel. I know damn sure how I would feel. dont agree with what you said at all and the wife thing is erilivant to the discussion. I agree with being able to get the cape back not because its hard to get and it costs a lot but because you have proved you can defeat the highest lvl monster in the game and you should only have to do that once not because the item is hard to get that is irelevant. say you lose a dwarf canon (only example i can think of) you can speak to someone to get it back it does not matter about the money the fire cape is only there to prove you have defeated the highest lvl monster in the game :ohnoes: well anyways probz gona get flammed now :uhh:
Lord Diddy
You did hear that a fire cape is one of the most treasured and perecious items in the game, sirioulsy if you liked it that much i doubt anyone would go risk it, therefore if you have an item that you dont want to risk wear a ring of life 24/7 or just bank it , tho i have to admit i wear it alot and would like to see it be able to returned from a npc but then i think it will make capes less valuable, also think of the many angry people that will complain that they after they lost it they had to get it back the hard way and the people now can easily get it back by talking to a npc. im good at keeping it the way it is or changing it either way im happy that i got to beat the toughest high lvled monster in the game

You wouldn't get a fire cape to watch it sit in your bank and a ring of life does not protect you 100%. It protects you 10% to be exact. :P The majority of people will love this, only a very small minority will disagree with this change.
