Combat Bonuses

I have a question about the various bonuses you get from armour and weapons (eg +50 slash). Is the bonus an increase in level, or an increase in percentage of a level, or what?

I think it's an increase bonus to something we players never get to actually see--the part of the game engine that calculates how much damage is done to each player/ npc.

That makes sense though, unless you want to do the math for you max hit or something, then you gotta hit up Jagex :-k

I would think that +50 to slash, stab etc would increase the base level of succesfull hit and more damage, whereas the weapon strength would increase the chance of max hit.

 

 

 

Thus the first 4(?) stats would make it so that you can hit more accurate and the last one that you hit a little bit higher, this is how i understood it ever since i tried some different combos on max hit calculators.
