Crystal, magic short or karils crossbow?

 

What are they best at, what are they worst at, which is best?

crystal is a very nice balance between cheapness and power. very cheap for its power, and does the most damage between the 3, though the slowest.

 

 

 

Karil's Crossbow is good for its power and speed. very expensive to maintain though due to price of the bolts.

 

 

 

MSB is used for training purposes, the arrows are the cheapest for training, and least accurate of the 3, the rune arrows are very expensive because you can recover the arrows.

Thet best is Crystal bow, but with every 150 it degrades and gets worse (I think), otherwise it's the best.

I have had every bow and the crystal bow is very much the best of the lot..I am 87 ranged and hit 20 with it. It needs recharging after somewhere around 500-700 shots (I can never remember the amount..and it doesn't say how many you have shot, or have left). Also no arrows to recover during fighting! Crystal is the the right choice of the three. :

C-Bow. Once you get it to its 180k charge, it is better than rune arrows, and more accurate.

i use all three and the way i see it is:

 

 

 

1. crystal bow is the best, high damage, dont need to recover arrows(and it has 2500 shots before you recharge, not 500) its quick and it looks cool

 

 

 

2. mage short, the quick shot is nice, but not as good as crystal

 

 

 

3. karils looks awesome, i always get comments when i have it, but i dont like it much. its misses alot, but hits high damage. bolts are only 300ea while rune arrows are 400ea, but you cant recover bolts.

To Clarify:

 

 

 

a fully charged crystal bow has 2500 shots, and every 250 shots it degrades, which affects its damage and ranged bonus, however this doesnt affect that it is still superior to the other 2 bows because of damage. Karil's Bow can only outweigh a Crystal bow when the Crystal bow is at 2/10 or 1/10.

 

 

 

Crystal Bow is VERY expensive to maintain initially, because the first recharge is 900k. But every time after that you get 20% discount each time until you reach 180k (your 5th recharge), and it will stay there for further recharges. The price of the recharge is independent of the bow, so you can recharge 2 seeds, and 1 might be 540k for example, but the next will be 360k.

 

 

 

Crystal Bow certainly the best if you can maintain it. Karil's Bow if you havent dont the Roving Elves quest, or dont like carrying multiple bows for very long trips, or if you barrow a hell lot. MSB if you cant afford anything else.
