ortiz9471
In real life, flax seed is a miracle of medicine. It has Omega 3 fatty acids in it, lowers total cholestorol and LDL cholestorol, and lowers blood pressure. It is a major antioxidant, loaded with fiber, and can help prevent cancer. The seeds can be consumed whole (they are commonly found in bread this way, look for it at the supermarket), ground up and put in something like muffins or bread, and is made into an oil that can be substituted for vegetable oil while cooking. So, when you are picking flax you can randomly get a "flax seed". These would come every 100-150 flax picked. You can plant these with 29 farming, growing a flax plant which can be picked (possibly giving more seeds) or can be used in herblore. It takes 86 herblore (the highest yet) and can be made into a "guthix brew". It heals 10 hp per dose, heals poison, and (possibly, adding this to see how people react) makes your next hit from your opponent a 0 with 0% chance of poisoning. However, you can't take a dose then walk into wild and have somebody hit a 0, that part only takes effect if the potion is taken during a fight. Here's how you make it:Having an empty vial in your inventory, use the seed on pestle and mortar and it gives you a vial of flax oil. Like weapon poison 1 dose fills the vial. You add snapdragon to this, completing your potion. (and it turns from 1 dose to 3 dose). The reason this is so good, is that you can make 4 dose potions, giving 40 hp per inventory spot, and train with them. It wouldn't be good for pking because it only heals 10 hp per dose, which is good because that would mess up pking and the shark market. And after all, it is a GUTHIX potion, and anything labeled with Guthix should not be for pking in my opionion. And yah, it wouldn't be allowed in the wild. A message would pop up "Do not misuse the power of Guthix!" and it would take no effect if used in wild. Maybe it wouldn't be allowed in fight pits either? Way too easier to get firecape.. But, how does it help crafting? Well simply, more people would pick flax, making it cost less. Low lvl crafters could buy the flax, make BS, and sell. For a low lvl crafter without much money, that is the jackpot. What do you guys think? I normally don't write my suggestions down or share them, but this just sounded like such a good idea to me. Foodfight13
Nice idea. Though there already is "Guthix Rest". I think a name change might be a little better, but it is still a great idea. Grow your own flax would be great. Or grain/wheat. I still wonder why they didn't put that in farming in the first place. :? -Runescape Addict --- Seven-time Writer for the Tip.It Times-"Yes I have tricks in my pocket, I have things up my sleeve. ortiz9471
Except guthix rest is like 14 herblore or something like that. There is a high lvl zammy brew and sara brew also, so I thought it made sence.

krogiecom
I think its a great idea, except for the bit about the opponents next attack. That would be a little overpowered. Say for instance you were pking with a guthix brew, and you were fighting some guy who, for some reason, decides to tell you he's about to use his special attack, in a "now youre dead" kind of way, you could just take a swig of this guthix brew and take no damage Other than that, sounds great

sligo
The non-pk aspect could work as follows: If you are skulled, you lose the effects of the potion (i.e. the defensive effect is nullified). Also, when skulled, the potion only heals 5 per dose. It's interesting, because linseed oil, which is extracted from the flax plant, was commonly used as a base for oil paint, up to the point where lead and synthetics took over the paint industry. - Sligo I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant. Didn't think of that :wall: I wouldn't want that, it would anger the people who spent soo much time getting it before. And yah, it wouldn't be allowed in the wild.
