  1. This is just a minor observation, but since the Global Clue Rewards table on the Treasure Trail Rewards page ( http://www.tip.it/ru...ils_rewards.htm ) lists all the god book pages, it isn't necessary to mention them in the paragraph above the table, quoted and highlighted below: The table below shows only some of the special items you can obtain exclusively from treasure trails. You can also get torn pages for God Prayer Books, and other normal items as well, such as pickaxes, weapons, planks, ranged ammunition and weapons, amulets, flatpacked construction items, nails, and runes. Remember, most of the "special items" in the table below can be only be used by members, meaning that they cannot be traded or sold on F2P worlds. Only the metal and dragonhide armours (trimmed or gold trimmed), God armours and trimmed or gold trimmed wizard robes can be used by both F2P'ers and P2P'ers. Apologies if this goes against the posting policy for this forum, it's been a long time since I've posted, I read the stickies and felt the templates did not apply to this particular correction. If anything has been done incorrectly please feel free to point me in the right direction.
  2. On the contrary, the moss giants must be fought during Roving Elves to obtain the consecration seed. Additionally, it is possible to wear a combat bracelet (with its associated offensive and defensive bonuses) within the tomb, as it does not count as armour. This may be worth adding to the notes.
  3. Hey all, Noticed while doing Fur 'n' Seek that the lines of the section Preparing the Remains which read "Go back and talk to the Odd Old Man. He will have a discussion with the sack of bones and take in the rock crab carcass without the need for you to process it." and "Speak with the Odd Old Man and you will explain that the rock crab carcass will not stretch as it doesn't have any type of skin or fur." apply to the same dialogue occurrence, which only happens the first time you speak to the Odd Old Man with the rock crab carcass in your inventory. I got a tad confused by this and panicked that I'd forgotten to collect one of the hides, before I realised.
  4. Hey all, Just had a quick flick through the ranging guide and noticed you don't mention the ability to poison any ammunition (bolts, darts etc.). Additionally, unless I am mistaken, the Crystal Bow requires level 50 Agility to wield as well as 70 Range? Thought it might be worth mentioning :).
  5. It might be worth adding a Ring of Forging to the list of suggested items for Swan Song, as because of my full inventory of food I had to make about 8 trips out to the mine, due to bad luck with iron smelting. Also worth note if you use the fairy ring (and, I presume, the Spirit Kyatt teleport), you have no need for either the 50gp or ring of charos, as you bypass the boat ride.
  6. Just thought I'd point out that the Observatory Quest page seems to predate Construction, as it lists locations of plank drops but not the possibility of using the sawmill. Additionally, it might be worth noting that when you find your kitchen key in step 4, that it is important to click "okay" on the dialogue box down the bottom, otherwise the key will not appear in your inventory, and you may walk all the way back to the kitchen, realise you lack the key, and walk all the way back -.- . Regards, Krog
  7. I've discovered that the trick used to make Shantay send you to Port Sarim Jail no longer works in F2P, as you can no longer talk to Shantay. I don't have time at the moment to get a screenshot of right clicking him in F2P, unfortunately. I thought I might point this out seeing as the Getting Around Guide still states that F2P have access to this.
  8. Hey guys, I've noticed when running the microhelper in HD mode that the java applet flashes white whenever I pass from the microhelper to the applet or vice versa. It can get a bit annoying when I'm just scrolling around and happen to pass over part of the microhelper. I've otherwise had no issues with the microhelper itself, and I expect it will be very handy when it comes to co-ordinate locating :D. I'm running up-to-date Java and Firefox. (As a side note you may want to consider adding a quick "Uninstall" process to the Microhelper page, it may stop all the people posting here who haven't read through the thread first before posting).
  9. That's true, I just figured it was worth mention since they have different names, and while the task refers to one of them specifically, both fulfill it.
  10. Having been tasked to slay 130 Blue Dragons by Sumona, I've discovered that Baby Blue Dragons count towards that total. While I can't vouch for the other colours of dragon, I assume it's logical to assume they do as well. I've still got a while to go in my task, if you want screenies let me know.
  11. I think it's probably worth mentioning at least, seeing as the guide assumes you use the ogre bow and brutal arrows, that you don't actually get given a bow or arrows and will need to bring one (or the materials for one) yourself. I propose we add a Suggested Items list, containing the following: [Ogre Bow, knife, feathers (20+ maybe?), rogue's purse, snake weed, vial of water, steel nails, hammer] Plus possibly a sublist of [Wolf Bones, Bow String], if the player intends on making an ogre composite bow. To be honest though, what's up with the ogre gathering all these things to make a composite bow to show you how it's done, then not giving it to you? You're obviously going to be needing it in the immediate future, whereas he's just going to be sitting out front...
  12. Something quite important I think is worth mentioning is that the penguin suit nullifies any attempts to teleport (either magic or item-related). It is therefore possible to get stuck on 1 or 2hp on the ice slope, unable to teleport or move forward for risk of dying once you run out of food. And it is possible to die, I just did. I'll also investigate to see if the climbing or [bleep]ed boots have any effect on the ice (I doubt it). Oh, also, the first paragraph of the agility guide suggests there are still only 4 agility courses, so I imagine that bit hasn't been updated for quite some time :P.
  13. Assuming all monsters are equally likely to drop a clue, and assuming all monsters are equally likely to give good rewards, i spose it makes sense to kill the lowest level monster which drops lvl 3s....(cyclopses in warrior guild)
  14. I often do runs of lvl 1 clue scrolls (just sit around in ham dungeon picking pockets until i get one) and when i do that one, come back for another I rarely get anything good, but the 1 time you DO get something good often makes up for all the times you dont get anything decent at all The most valuable thing you are likely to get with lvl 1 is gold trimmed wizzy robes (sell 'em to nonmembers on world 1) If you cant handle lvl 3s, guards can be a good source of lvl 2s
  15. So youre going to range instead of running in to melee? In that case just use protect from magic (bear in mind youre going to need to be considerably good at ranging if youre going to take him out - dont expect that you'll beat him on your first attempt) Oh P.S. if you do have to tele from the fight, and you wanna try again, all you need to do is put the 10th squad sigil on again, you dont need to be anywhere special (i did it at the duel arena bank)
  16. ...hadnt thought of that, but now that you mention it, it makes sense Actually thats really good - both that fishing spot and the karambwanji fishing spots are right next to fairy rings :D :D Thanks a bunch man!
  17. Thats not really going to be very effective, as i dont know what you have/can afford If youre going to use protect from magic when you get in close, wear the best melee armour you have If youre going to use protect from melee, obviously wear the best dragonhide you have
  18. Nah, that would make cwars boring as hell (not to mention getting the fire cape significantly easier - just take an inventory of prayer pots...)
  19. Well if youre not in melee contact with him, he attacks with magic, so either wear VERY strong dragonhide, or use protect from melee Unless youre very good with range you are going to need to get in close to kill him (he has very good magic defences), so you will need food, as whatever prayer you use in melee, he can still hurt you Whatever prayer you use, take potions In fact, carry a few with you when going through the marim dungeon (as well as energy pots and mabye even boots of lightness)
  20. If youre not in melee combat, use protect from magic (bring pots) If you are in melee combat, and have protect from melee on, he will attack with magic (very bad if wearing rune) If you are in melee combat, and have protect from magic on, he will attack with melee (hits about the same with each, depending on your armour/def as normal)
  21. Well once you can steal from master farmers, they are by far the best way to level up thieving. If you constantly click on him (until you get caught of course) you can manage a lot more xp per minute than with guards or stalls
  22. Just look at the tip.it magic guide
  23. Well, they only heal 16, and the demon will consistantly hit 20+, so its your call
  24. Well, not entirely sure how much damage you have to do, but basically you need to get your hands dirty - i wouldnt say i got a 16 that easily (even with a dbaxe) Oh and what the guide says about sharks is very much accurate - lobs are NOT GOOD ENOUGH
  25. Actually no, you cant just let the gnomes do all the work - if you dont do the last 5% or so of his healthbar in one hit, he just heals back to 10% or so Was a bit of an issue for me...had to run in flailing with a dbaxe
