August 14, 200619 yr You are a mage, out in level 35 wildy. You are looking for a good target that you can just blast away in a great ball of fire. Then, quite suddenly, you see a clan of people with full rune and rune skimmys, running right at you. You try to run the other way, but they have already caught up with you, and are slashing through your mage robes. You fail to put enough distance between yourself and the pkers, and fall in a humiliating defeat. Ever had that happen to you before? I know I have. Now, let's put the new spell Stun into the picture. You are a mage, in level 35 wilderness. You are looking for a good target that you can just blast away in a great ball of fire. Then, quite suddenly, you see a clan of people in full rune and rune skimmys, running right at you. You try to run the other way, but they have already caught up with you, and are slashing through your mage robes. You quickly open up your spell book, and click on the yellow circular symbol labled "Stun". In a great ball of yellow light, everyone within 1 square of you freeze. You are able to make a quick escape, putting enough distance between yourself and the pkers. Now doesn't that sound much better? Being teamed in the wilderness while pking as a mage is a common problem everyone has. With the mage robes we have today, we don't stand a chance against rune weapons. That is why I have devised the spell "Stun". Stun is a somewhat simple spell, that anyone with a magic level around 50 can do. Stun is alot like Ice Barrage, but doesn't deal damage and doesn't freeze people in as large an area. Stun would freeze people within 1 square of you for about 7-8 seconds. o o o o O o o o o Stun would be much better than bind, since it freezes everyone next to you for a longer period of time. Stun does note deal damage. It simply freezes your opponents. Stun will only freeze multiple targets in multi-combat areas. Anywhere else, it would only stun the person you are fighting. If used outside of the wilderness, it will only stun monsters, and once again, will only stun multiple targets in multi combat areas. What do you guys think? :?: *Yes, it was brought to my attention there is already a spell named Stun. I will change the name listed in this post as soon as I can find a new suitable name. August 14, 200619 yr Author To be honest, I didn't. But also to be honest, I don't really see why they called that spell stun... It doesn't actually stun anybody. So the name "Stun" is taken.. I'll just change the name of the spell... Any suggestions on a new name?
