I recently investigated the use of the abyss as a means of producing chaos runes with which 2 level up my magic (also RC I suppose). I took my first trip 2 the abyss and got totally slaughtered. I had heard that the abyss was dangerous but this is rediculous. What requirements are the there to make the abyss a viable means of runecrafting? what precautions should I take? Is the abyss worth the effort anyway? It's just a hassle to go through all that maze business to the chaos altar.

Sometimes when people go Abyss runecrafting they might wear dhide armour or take a teleport incase they run into any trouble. From my experiences there it is worthwhile to use the Abyss for your runecrafting as it greatly increases the production of the runes you're making. Also a good defence and agility wouldn't go a miss along with a few charged glories.

Wear best d hide you can, and also a mystic hat, lightness boots, elemental shield and the staff of your choice, carry your pouches and one law in your inventory and the rest ess :D
