My Decision On My Best Equipment Set(Melee)-Need a Few Tips

Featured Replies

Heya all.

I just got members and a Bought -

Dragon legs

Dragon Med

Dragon Square

+ wepeons within the first 5 minutes of getting members.

I have now learnt it wasnt a great move as Burrows is better and i cant use square for ages =)

So with a little research i have decided on -

Abbysel whip

Full Torag (No Wep)

But ide like to hear Suggestions on wether i should use Dragon Square(Obby Shield till i can) or a Rune Defender With this set.

I will be using this set for everyday yous of training etc (Not For Pking, Dueling ect)

I would Also like to hear about good items such as Rings, Ammies, Boots and Gloves That are the best for training.

Ide prefer ones that Give Attack/Strength Bonuses over Defence (as it will already be high) I already have Obby Cape and a Fire when i decide to get Range up.

Also Can someone tell me about this Fury Ammie As Its the best, but i dont know anything about it.

First of all, the decision to use torags is quite good, it has awesome def to melee.

With your stats i would mix using rune def and obby shield according the training situation: if opponent ranges then use shield, if not then use def. If i were you i would sell the square as it is likely to drop in price until you get legends quest done and you're able to use it. same with other dragon items since it's defensive values are rubbish.

Boots, ah yes, climbing boots give some small additions to melee offensive stats +2 or 3 i think. Metal boots of course give you slightly more def but i personally concider them junk. i love my climbing boots. only metal boots i'll ever wear are the ones that i get from slayer assignments, and even that is rare :D

Rings that give you offensive stat bonuses are Berserker ring, farseer ring, archer ring and warrior ring. bonuses are respectively: strength, magic, ranged and slash/stab. I think that they also give slight increase to their defence value.

There are amulets of most kinds, new to a beginning member are glory amulet and onyx amulet(fury). Fury gives somewhat better offensive stats but i think it just isn't worth it to pay that much for it. you can buy 33.3k chaos runes and sell them to shop to get your fury a bit cheaper but i wouldn't recommend it.

Thankyou Mate you answere alot of questions for me.

Also are Rune Boots and Gloves any good?

And i agree this fury amulet will only get cheaper lol as with my dragon ill just keep it i think it would be hard to part with it as i got my first members stats with it and im not to fussed about cash.

do recipe for diasaster so you can buy dark gloves- they are best gloves in the game with a +12 str bonus

as for boots i would get rune because of the def, the climbing boots dont usually give enough str bonus to make you hit that 1point higher

[omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed....

you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.

id say if ur low on cash, full rune with fremmy helm, whip, glory, barrows gloves, and try and get a rune defender, but ur idea of full torag no hamms and a whip is really good, combines the best def and wep in the game :)

Cash isnt a problem at all lol well i dont want to make more then about 10 mill cause rune mining is boring =)

=).

Go for torags with whip if you'd like great melee defence.

Does anyone happen to know death_siren? She stole a green mask from me, and I think I found my way into her ignore list. If you know anything, please, don't hesitate to give me a pm.

I'm quite sure he wears torag plate.

Torag plate and legs, climbing or rune boots, obby shield, whip, berserker helmet, barrows gloves, glory or str amulet and obby cape with berserker ring is pretty much the ultimate gear to train melee.

Small Tip Anyways..

...BARROWS IS BAD!

Repairing is a Ball-Ache.

Might be the best armour, but it's a pain in the back-side to repair.

Best with: Berserker, Rune, Rune Boots or Climbing Boots, (Rune or Obby Shield).

Works out cheaper.

  • Author

lol i dont care about prices ill pay anything i need and to repair it is what bout 300-400K? thats a small price to pay. 2 hours work max =)

Dragon_Scyth.png

"Boredom got me playing, Boredom stops me from playing. It's a vicious cycle."

Thats O.K. Then.

Well, your best option then:

Torag w/ Obby Shield and Whip. Desert/Climbing/Rune Boots.

As soon as 75% Degrade, go and repair.

Torag is very cheap, and a very good armour. It gives a great defence bonus. You must not be afraid of having to pay to repair.

If you have a workshop in your house, if you repair in there, it may be cheaper too!

why 75% , does the effectiveness of the armour lower as it degrades becaus ei didnt know that

[omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed....

you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.

i thibnk it does, i am only f2p but a i know a crystal bow gets uneffective when it starts degrading so maybe barrows does aswell

get full guthan with spear, with an abby whip and you already got a d square... get dark gloves and rune boots with fire cape, ring of welth/life and onyx amulet (asuming you have loads of cash that is

Yayyyyyy...
