August 31, 200619 yr I don't think the RIAA is ever going to be able to stop music pirating, so what's the point in trying? I don't think the UN is ever going to be able to stop wars, so what's the point in trying? (Yes this was already used, but apparently it needed repetition). LOL...I don't think it's the same thing... Heh, I don't think you understand the concept of an analogy.

The RIAA has no chance what so ever, so that cause is hopeless. I agree.

They won't ever be able to completely stop music from being pirated but I guess it doesn't hurt to try. Like I said earlier though, I illegally download music but only songs by artists that can't be found in iTunes such as AC/DC and Led Zep...
August 31, 200619 yr I don't think comparing the UN to the RIAA is fair, even if it is an analogy. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
August 31, 200619 yr According to an article in todays paper downloading MP3's is beneficial to the music industry and has caused a boost in record sales. Since i dont have a scanner im trying to find an online scource for this ~Dan64AuSince 27 Aug 2002
August 31, 200619 yr I don't think comparing the UN to the RIAA is fair, even if it is an analogy. Group A will never accomplish goal Q. Therefore group A should stop trying. There; I just generalized it for you. Insert whatever group with whatever goal and you will understand my point that just because something appears impossible doesn't mean it should be given up on.
August 31, 200619 yr Screech Powers will never get Lisa Turtle to go out with him. Therefore Screech should stop trying. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
