Can someone help refresh my memory? (2 games)

Ok, i've had these old games stuck in my head for ages. :( The annoying part is, I can't remember their names. If anyone can help, they WILL recieve a cookie. :P

 

 

 

Ok, first game:

 

 

 

The word that comes to mind is: Dink

 

That's the name of the main character. He's a farmer boy who looks after pigs with his mother.

 

It starts out with you waking up and he goes to feed the pigs, then some other kids his age come along and mock him. Dink goes off to do another errand for his mother (I can't remember what) and comes back to find his house is burning down with his mother dead in it.

 

It's an RPG game, kinda like Zelda. 3D.

Second game:

 

 

 

I think it's an iD game. I think the name was something along; Trial -- -----. Something like Trial by fire, or something.

 

No specific storyline.

 

It had some unique weapons though. The ability to turn into a dog, a flamethrower which ran along the ground and a weird hand power which was an instant kill.

 

Like I said before, I think it's an iD game but I couldn't find it ont their website. It's a similiar GUI to Doom and Wolfenstein, but no face in the middle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any help atall towards helping me find these games is greatly appreciated. :)

The second game is Rise of the Triad. An excellent game for its time.

 

 

 

Finally, it is id software, not iD, Id or ID - it is id as in the id, the ego and the superego. It was occasionally referred to by them as one of the others but in the vast majority of times it is id and they themselves on their site say that it is id.

Heh, that's where I remember it from as well. :-$

 

But they released the full game for free download. ;)
