A question on prayers!

Do the attack enhancing prayers (for all 3 combat types and styles) raise your experience in that skill, or your level in that skill by 5, 10, 15%?

 

 

 

For example, if you had lvl 50 range and the 10% prayer boost on, will it be raised to 55 range (without you seeing obviously), or will it add 10% of the exp that you have, probably getting you like.. 53 range or something.

It works just like with the pots or other prayers. It improves your current level.

I'm pretty sure that those prayers raise the lvl in the skill by 5%, 10%, and so on, cause if it was the xp way it wouldnt make much of a difference.

It does NOT raise your skill level , just your accuracy to the new level.

This is for attacking only, will not help to enter Range guild or Mage guild by raising stats.

Yes, the 6 new prayers raise the accuracy of your spells or your ranged ammo, but not actually the level and the max hit.

Sorry if what I said was misunderstood. If your ranged level is 48, and you use Eagle Eye you'll shoot as accurate as a level 55 with your equipment would. However, you wouldn't be able to wear Blue Dhide armor.

 

The same works with magic.

 

 

 

However, I have a question on the same subject. Normally, my total magic defense depends on my defense level, my magic level and my magic defense bonus (the armor I wear). Would it be better if I activated a Mystic __ Prayer?
