August 27, 200619 yr Dont know if this has been said before (it probaly has) but we should get a spell check button on the post which checks the spellinh like the other tip sites have. This will stop people spaming about grammer and spelling.
August 27, 200619 yr It won't stop people "spamming" about spelling and grammer if those who don't give a toss about spelling and grammer to begin with don't use it. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=460807
August 28, 200619 yr it would help people that are not LAZY (about 10% of the Tip.it population) But for the remaining 90% it would be a wasted effort. You can not force a person to spel rite. Therefore you are wasting Bandwisth loading the spell check mod, but only 1 in 10 people will use. Lazy people ruin it for the rest of us -sai
August 29, 200619 yr I know but tha tis about 10% of the population of this community. This ia low nimber becaus the leet speakers, chat speakers, cap speakers, etc must all be removed. I think that if only 10% are being benefited, then it is not worth it even if i really want it. Way foe the tip.it community to ruin it for us spellers (sarcasm)
August 29, 200619 yr Installing such a Mod could indeed have a negative effect on this site and leed to Lag which is something that none of us would like to happen :( There are many free spell checkers on the WEB that could be used for this purpose and here is just one example : http://www.spellcheck.net/ Plus most people probably have MS Office or similar already installed on their PC's so already have a Spellchecker anyway. I know this will add a bit of extra time copying and pasting to and from an external program but this is an option. Many thanks to Pup for my new Siggy :)
August 31, 200619 yr Dont know if this has been said before (it probaly has) but we should get a spell check button on the post which checks the spellinh like the other tip sites have. This will stop people spaming about grammer and spelling. This has been posted before and I'm pretty sure Ablosky said it wouldn't happen or he's working on it. [i think that it wouldn't happen.] But, I do not know for sure...But it's an OK idea if you ask me. :) ~Rcty Rcty
