Featured Replies

The best f2p monsters by lvl and drop are lessers (rune med), greater demons (rune full helms [wilderness only]), and ankous (lvl 86).

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

"Long live the sun, may the darkness be hidden."

I believe Moss Gaints are better Exp Then the 2 mentioned Above.

i guess greaters though i dont think ankous are that good for f2p

12/20/06 - QUEST CAPE OF ACHIEVEMENT

Barrows sets: guthan, verac, dharok, maybe ahrim eventually <- lost to a hacker whole stole everything of worth from my bank

mossies on cranador or the ice caves aren't bad

I believe Moss Gaints are better Exp Then the 2 mentioned Above.

Well, exp is earned by the hit done and not by monster level.

For melee, you earn HP exp as HitDone*4/3

and combat exp as HitDone*4 in single style

or HitDone*4/3 in controlled style.

A Lesser Demon has more HP than a Moss Giant so it would give more exp per kill.

But it would also take longer to kill the Lesser and you

would probably take more damage yourself as well

What really matters for training purposes is:

"What is the melee combat exp earned per hour with this monster?"

So Moss Giants might very well give more exp per hour than Lessers would.

What you want to do for "fast" exp training is to constantly be hitting a monster(s) nonstop.

Ideally, you don't want take any damage yourself or stop to heal with food.

So that suggests that the "best" monster to train on is a monster

much lower than yourself with weaker defenses that spawns often.

If you trained on such a monster you could be constantly hitting

(earning melee exp) and not taking much damage (saves on food).

So you need to find some monsters that spawn often and are lower than yourself.

You could try the pirates in the front part of the Blurite cave,

the 3 low level fortress guards outside the Black Knight fortress,

Al Kharid palace guards, Draynor jail guards, red spiders, skellies (everywhere), goblins, hobgoblins, etc.

Also, know the defensive weakness of each monster.

For example, any chainmail wearing monster (city guard) is weak to a stab attack.

So a scimmy would not be the weapon to use against

them but a long sword should work well.

Ice Giants are said to be weak against crush attacks and fire based magic.

Etc, etc, etc.

Now if you wanted good loot then you should train on Greater Demons, Lesser Demons, Ice Giants, Moss Giants, etc.

Hope this helps
