September 7, 200619 yr For raw POWER you would not go past the Hercules. After the initial peak(470mW) that lasts around 2-3 seconds it is extremely stable at the average output of 421mW. After searching their forums, it appears the Hercules from laserglow would be the ideal tool for burning things. Of course 3 grand is a little steep for the college budget.
