dogfever
Ok, so I've got my character up to 70 att, 70 str, 65 def, 72 range and 68 mage. It's been slow (9 months total, 7 months members) because I've been busy with other stuff. Anyhow, as soon as I get my cash out of Throne of Misc I'll be buying a whip so I reckon I'll be at 70 def in about a weeks or so. After all of this I'll have 2-3mil to spend on stuff so I was thinking one of the lower priced barrows sets (maybe obby shield and cape as well). Question is: which barrows set to get? Note that I'm only really looking at: Torag's (no hams), Ahrim's or Karil's (I would love Guthan's but there's no way I'm saving up 9.5-10mil right now). What I really want to do is train slayer so I'm leaning towards Torag's. However, I'm also looking at a bit of Barrowing maybe. Is there any particular reason not to use Torag's (against Melee and Range) and Mystic (against Ahrim) to barrow in? I have looked at a lot of guides but I seem to fall between 'low' levels (chaos bolt attacks/monks robes) and 'high' levels (full Guthan's and House teles). Any advice on sets or methods for barrowing very welcome, Cheers.

I can hear you can hit pretty good with Torags, so I would go with that unless you find a cheaper one (if there is :?: ) that's better. ~Rcty Rcty

TheAncient
Get Dharok chest and legs. They have the same stats as Torag's, but aren't as useless. Or you could go with Guthan chest and Verac legs. Save up for Guthan helm, or buy Torag helm. Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? dogfever
Thanks guys. I was pretty sure that Torags would be good overall. Still not sure about Barrowing in it though...
twr_phr33k
Stick with Torag for now. When you make a little more money and gain more melee lvls you should sell it and buy full V because it's GREAT for Fight Pits. I used V to get easy tokkuls to get an uncut onyx stone (200k) 8-) . Took forever though.

LinovUSA
It also depends what you are looking for? Best defense? or train without using food, or highest hit for maximum exp. I perfer toraq with whip+ d sq, very good training suit

I perfer toraq with whip+ d sq, very good training suit  Good def has to be the one, I'd love the no food (Guthan's) option but I can't quite stretch to it :) I'm planning on using it mainly for slayer but I was also thinking of Barrows because of the strong Melee and Range def and taking mystic for the Ahrim. I see a lot of guides but none has this set up so I guess there's something I haven't thought of:)
