Killing the Kalphite Queen

This guide is made for going with a team with 3-4 people. To start you will need at least 2 melee'ers with full verac̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s and 1 Or 2 ranger(s). Its your own choice, but remember when you go with 3 persons you will need to share the drops with 3 people so you will get more for yourself if you go with a team of 3 people.

Remember to read the whole guide before you go beat her up!

If you are going to use melee I suggest you get at least 90 combat.

If you use range you would need 80+ range if you're the only ranger in the team.

If you have a team with 2 rangers, then 2 70+ rangers will do fine.

What you will need:

For melee:

- 1 Set of full verac̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s (Because of its special set effect, so you will need all Verac items.)

- 1 Prayer potion (1 dose is enough; if you have 65+ prayer you will probably do fine without one.)

- 1 Super set (super attack, super strength, super defence)

- Ectophial or Elf crystal for teleport. (Recommend: you can take runes to.)

- 1 rope (At least 2 people will need to take 1 rope)

- 1 Shantay pass

- For the rest of the space left, sharks! I do not recommend taking any food healing less then sharks.

Optional:

- 1 Anti-poison potion incase a guardian poisons you.

- Ring of wealth, Duelling ring or a Ring of Life. Ring of wealth for good drops, duelling ring to restore prayer at the arena, and if you don't want to take a big risk to die then choose the Ring of Life.(Equip your choice)

- Any amulet. I recommend a glory or power amulet though because they give best bonuses.

If you have all that is noted here your inventory should look like this:

For rangers:

- 1 set of full black dragonhide

- A magic shortbow or a Crystal bow. If you take a magic bow, take around 100 rune arrows.

- A range potion is recommend at all levels.

- 1 Prayer potion (1 dose is enough, if you have 65+ prayer you will probably do fine without one.) - Ectophial or Elf crystal for teleport. (Recommend: you can take runes to.)

- 1 rope (At least 2 people will need to take 1 rope)

- 1 Shantay pass

- Again for the rest of the space left, sharks. I do not recommend taking any food healing less than sharks.

- 1 Super Defence potion.

- A good weapon and a super attack potion for the first form.

Your inventory should look like something near this:

You'll need more rune arrows though! Or none if you use a crystal bow.

Well One

Well Two

Okay, you're ready to go. Go through the Shantay Pass and run to the east until you come to a well which you will need to use 1 rope on. Go down the lair and walk through the whole dungeon. From the rope walk to the right, then go a bit north and take the turn to the west. Keep walking the path and you'll have to make a few more 180 degree turns through the dungeon, keep following the path. You will come past a small room with level 89 Kalphites. Don't go in there, just keep following the path until you reach a corner to the north. There is another small room with 2 Kalphite Guardians. Wait behind the corner and pot up .I recommend putting your prayers on too.(Magic protection, and I recommend item protection to.) . Use the second rope on the well and go down. The queen is mostly located just a bit to the west in the southwest corner, but she can be at all places in the lair.

Strategies for the first form: The first form of the Kalphite Queen uses magic and range protection. You will have to use magic protect. I recommend protect item prayer incase you die, or else you'll lose your Verac helmet.

Once you found her, spread out around her. If you do, she'll spin around a lot and that causes less attacks, so she won't hit you as much Which will save you sharks. Be sure to ALWAYS keep your hp above 40.

Also, for the rangers which took a melee weapon, be sure to have drank the pots you took. If it has almost no health left, drink your ranging potion and equip your bow once the second form pops out. If you are a ranger but didn't take a melee weapon, move away from her a bit so she can't hit you with melee. And DON'T use your special attacks on the first form since it has protect from range and it would probably be useless.

Strategies for the second form:

Keep spreading out around her so she cant hit you, and i suggest you keep using magic protect since she uses magic, range and melee attacks. The second form of the Kalphite Queen uses melee protect. Thats why you need a set of verac's so you can hit through the prayer protection. (No you wont hit all the time but you will hit a lot more then with "normal" weapons.) Be sure to ALWAYS keep your hp above 40.

If you're a ranger, be sure to have drank your range potion and wielded your bow. I suggest you move away from her a bit so she can't hit you with melee. You can use your special attacks now because this form is vulnerbale to range.

Max hits: (Approximately)

Melee: 30 The first form bites you with her claws, the second just comes towards you and hits you.

Range: 31 - She raises her black legs and a swarm of something that looks like arrow shafts will hit you and your team.

Magic: 30 - For the first form her claws will turn blue. The second just pops out.

Note that while you are fighting her she "summons" Kalphite Workers to help her fight. Also, there are TWO Kalphite Guardians helping her while fighting. They can poison you. They also hit kind of hard. I think they hit up to 12.
