I Need Hosting Advice.

http://www.webhostingtalk.com is always a good place to look around. It's a dedicated forum for hosting just about anything online. You can usually find reviews of just about any host with some quick searching. Even if you can't find it by searching, you can always post asking for reviews too. ::'

And for the shameless plug:

I use hostdime.com for my personal hosting and my dad's small buisness website. Been with them for close to 2 years now and have had no major issues. Whatever did come up was quickly fixed with a support ticket. Even then it was usually just high load on the server because of someone's script going nuts. Pop off a ticket, problem solved. Even then it was never enough to make things unusable.

They're currently running a special for 20gb of disc and 1.5TB of bandwidth for $10 a month after setup. Uber cheap even with the setup fee. :P

I use A Small Orange and they're absolutely great. I'm only on a tiny plan but support has been prompt and I've yet to see ANY downtime in the ~8 months I've been with them.

Yes they do have a referral system, but if they didn't, I'd still recommend them. If you do decide to go with them, pm me and I'll send you my referral link.

As cruiser saidd the Web Hosting Talk forums are a great place to ask for assistance so I wont give any reccomendations of places. I will however give you this bit of advice which i hope you will take on board:

NEVER NEVER NEVER go with a compoany that offers "unlimited" webspace or bandwidth! It is purely a marketing trick designed to catch the people that are new to hosting. There is no such thing as an unlimited hard drive or bandwidth and everthing has a limit. If you read the terms of service on companies that offer this you will see shocking news that they can cut you off at any time if they think you are using too much "resources". These "companies" are usually run by people from their bedrooms using a reseller hosting package from another much igger host and are simply "overselling" what they have in the hopes that none of their customers will ever use up their own max limit.

Do you really want to go to a hosting company that is lying to you from the very start?
