MosiahMan
I was wondering what determines the direction of a dungeon entrance or entrance portal. I've been in peoples houses and they all face different directions. Any information about this is much appreciated.
Soma2035
It depends on how you originally rotated your garden. It's kind of difficult to put just the way you want it, because there's no guide's whatsoever to how you place your garden, with all 4 sides allowing doors. :-s Luckily it's cheap so you can try over and over again. Build something that doesn't cost much, like portals, to show which direction the dungeon will face... that way you have a 50-50 chance of getting the dungeon entrance the right way. pokemama
Hrm, this is a really interesting question, and if you solve it I hope you will tell me. We can add it to the Construction Guide and Table to help everyone! I'd suggest asking each person what room they were standing in when they built their garden (assuming it wasn't the original). I do know that the imp statue (really a fountain) is installed at a right angle from the doorway where you created the garden. (If you are at 6:30 of the clock, the imp faces 3:15.) Dunno why, it just is. I also know from user Umega (who submitted the info now listed in the Construction Guide/Table) that when you build a Skill Hall or Quest Hall, the stair bottom is at the door opposite where you built the room (so the stairway faces "backwards"). In order to make my Quest Hall stairs in the direction I wanted, I had to build two gardens to get to the proper side, lol! it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. MosiahMan
I've done some testing and found some interesting results. When you build a garden, the portal will be perpendicular to the doors from which it was created. Like this... While formal gardens are the opposite. The portal is parallel to the doors. I still wonder about dungeon entrances, since my construction level isn't high enough to make one.
