Does anyone know a good place to train combat apart from pest control or rock-crabs or experiements (they get crowded).

nah, no way, i was training there when i was lvl 83, just take a tele and quite a bit of food the first time so you can guage if it;s good for you or not

Got any suggestions on what armour i should take. I've got basically everything except barrows, rune def whip etc.

Full Rune and a D scimmy or Long. Rune/Climbing Boots do well, Glory/Defence Amulet and an Obby Cape. Metal Gloves from Recipe from Disaster that should do the trick.

 

 

 

Also, if you don't like the Fire Giants try the Experiments underneath Frankenstein's Castle. They're only level 25 and have 101 HP while the Fire Giants are Level 83 and have 111 HP. I guess it depends on whether you want EXP/Drops. For the experiments you won't need any food at all. They can't touch someone in 50+ Defence.

I trained mostly at Legends guild Shadow warriors, got a shield left half :-w

 

And I guess Stronghold Of Security is good too, haven't tried though...

jellies in relekka slayer dungeon or bloodveld in slayer tower, its good training (if you have high range for magic def armor) jellies drop clues and alchable stuff, bloodveld drop lotsa bloods if you wear wealth

well it depends on ur range level...when i was member i would take 300 mith and bout 500 steel arrows then use the safespot by the door...thats just me...i would range

 

 

 

edit: i use the waterfall dungeon with the shadow spiders u also need glarial ammy to get in
