  1. You could argue that the fact that there are druids in runescape means that it is pagansitic. It's not. Don't bother going searching for these tiny little references unless there is some kind of conclusion. So what it it was paganisitc? Unless it's uncovering part of runescape lore or something like that it has little to no importance. Oh, and 'jesus'.
  2. All I will say further is that books give you the freedom to see things and experience things your way. A movie is someone else's vision shown to you. I don't mean to offend anyone I'm just statung my opinion but it is fact that you are ignorant if you say you never intend to read a book if it fictitous.
  3. I love movies and books but they're 2 completely different things Books last longer and help you understand things which you may never experience in your life - no movie can accomplish that. A couple of good examples are Wasp Factory by Ian Bainks and Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. By giving you a view through the eyes of a character with (perhaps) no relationship to yourself with access to all their thoughts. Furthurmore, some books have had a profound impact on society that things wouldn't be the same without them. How often do you hear people talk about big brother or room 101? Without George Orwell and 1984 none of it would exist and perhaps we would be under constant surveilance from the government and things would be much worse. Books like 1984 opened the eyes of the general public. That is why books (even ficticious ones) are so important. I don't want to go into film right now but I personally believe that film plays an important part in society too and that, as an art form, it is both extremely interesting and insightful. I know this has little to do with the original topic (especially as I doubt the Runescape novel with have an impact on society) but I wanted to let you know why I think books are important and maybe even get Myweponsg00d to read something and understand what I mean ;)
  4. Any reason you insist, so lucidly, on ignorance?
  5. I agree. I want more Construction stuff :( (even though it's perhaps the most developed skill already)
  6. Saw this and thought it could be kinda interesting and that I wouldn't mind paying a fiver for something like that... ...£13 is ridiculous. I read all the time and have only ever spent more than £10 on a book before and that was the George Orwell collection - something I doubt this book can stand up to. Above all else I can't find anything about the author except 1 article in a health and fitness magazine about alternative therapy (doubt it's the same person somehow...) and 1 co-written book about cricket (again, doubt it 's the same person as non-fiction writing to fiction writing is a fairly big step.) Jagex doesn't even tell us how long the book is either. TBH I think I'm just gonna wait for one of the kids who buy it and don't like it to stick it on ebay for a few quid then I'll get it.
  7. Thanks a lot to both of you for answering my questions, it's a great help. I assumed they would be permanently banned but runehq (ergh) told me otherwise. I should know not to trust them anyway i guess hehe :P
  8. I just have a couple of questions if anyone could answer them: 1. I heard that permanently stopping a task only lasts for the next 4 assignments? it's a bit rubbish if that's true 2. Do you get 5x points every 10 or just the 10th? i.e. on the 10th, the 20th, the 30th, etc. 3. Same as above with every 50th (50th, 100th, 150th, etc.) 4. Does it work switching 'masters' on the 10th, 20th, etc. E.g. I usually use chaedler but if i switch to duradel for the task that's on the 10th, 20th, etc. will i get the 5* 15/ 15* 15 Thanks in advance
  9. So it is! Wouldn't of thought of looking htere, thanks a lot for that :)
  10. Yeah, i thought it was there as well but couldn't find it when I looked either so i posted here. Might have been lost when the forum got deleted i guess :(
  11. That'd be half the raeson they're keeping the other detail levels... If you want to play it anywhere you obviously have to make some sacrifices.
  12. Hi, I remember there being a list of the max levels you need in all skills to complete all quests (not a list of the reqs. for individual quests, overall) but i can't find it - can someone point me towards it please? Thanks
  13. One thing I haven't seen much mention of (unless I've missed something major) is how the monsters will look. I'm imagining a pretty cool looking, textured dragon right now...
  14. I hope they don't get rid of the trade screen. Me and my rl girlfriend like to do quests together and we share the gathering of resources for the quests by one getting enough of one thing for both of us and the other person enough of a different itme for the both of us. I know we'll probably be able to buy the items from the GE but at the end of the day, it wouldn;t seem like as much of a quest doing it like that.
  15. Sounds almost like Pokemon to me. I was really hoping for a continent tbh but this looks pretty cool too. Definitely not annoyed at it as everyone seems to be when they know nothing about it at all... Like other people have said though, they've let a lot info go at one time it seems. I'm assuming there's still some big implication of it that they're hiding (good or bad) that they're going to hint at more. Back to the pokemon thing; from the pictures from the other thread and the similarity between the jackolope and wolperting (sp?) I'm thinking that they may have some kind of 'evoloution' like training them so they get better at whatever it is they help you with
