Yah, kinda scared right now . . . actually very scared. I think I might have been hacked but I really don't know how it might have happened. I don't download anything shady blah blah blah.

 

 

 

Anyway, I've entered my runescape password in several times and it keeps saying "Invalid password or username". I've typed slowly but it still doesn't work.

 

 

 

So what kind of programs should I run to check if I have a keylogger thingy? I don't know much about computers, except that smacking them sometimes works.

Try running a virus scanner and a spyware scanner (such as Spybot Search&Destroy). Also, if you have recovery questions set, use them.

If you use internet explorer, go to http://www.lavasoft.com) is also a good spyware scanner. I'd also recommend getting a firewall (

I have no clue what your talking about. If you mean by scanning your computer with two seperate programs at once... it will make it lag a little, but they won't "kill" eachother. That is the silliest thing I've heard.

He is talking about having 2 "active" scanners running at the same time , not running a scan with 2 at the same time.

By my untillegent utterings i meant

 

 

 

"Two active-gaurding (realtime) scanners will counter each other generally calling eachother viruses...Going berserk...Breaking down crying...And causing general trama for you, your computer, and your power switch"

 

 

 

Sometimes you'll be fine and just need to uninstall one and repair the other, but basically, try not to have two 'active' virus scanners at once. Using a regular 'active' virus scanner like AVG and even a million, should your computer suffice, online or scan only anti-viruses is alright though.
