Jake_Corsair
I was reading through the section on prayer on Tip.It and saw that part about the ogre coffins after the Zogre quest. Was wondering if anyone has used them to train on for thieving and are the bones from them very rare to get? Thanks If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
My_Eggs
i use em for the bones, they are great exp, i take em to the ecto place, but if you have access to a guilded altar you would get tons of prayer exp, infact the best bones from it are like 580 exp in the exto place i think 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.
Jake_Corsair
Thanks for the reply. Yea, that's my thinking, using them with gilded altar. Are they a rare drop from the coffins? And is it better to just gather keys or is it good thieving xp? Sumpta
The ancient bones aren't that rare. I'd say you have a 1/5 chance of getting one for every chest you open. (I have no scientific proof for this though.) Thieving will get you very frustrated. Your thieving drops when you can't get the lock open (which is quite often) and if you use locpicks, you'll break them at hair-tearing speed. It's safest to range them and collect the keys. There's a good Zogre guide in the archive of wisdom, read that one for all the info.
