Barrows Question, does kill count matter?

Ok, I know killing the 5 other brothers is a must, but what about whacking a few rats and skellies down below, any adjusting the chance to get a piece that way?

Jagex said thet KC will NOT affect the chances of you getting a Barrow Item from the chest, however it will affect the other drops. If you do not kill any rats etc., you will not get anything bar deaths, chaos and minds (not too sure on 1/2 key and D med, but i doubt they will drop at 6 KC). Any higher kc can let the brothers drop bloods and bolt racks into the chest.

Doesnt increase your chances of getting a barrows piece, but it does mean more runes, bolt racks and cash (a few gp, lol). I always get a kill count of about 30ish for 2 reason;

 

1) Exp

 

2)More runes, bolt racks and cash means I can afford another run if I don't get a barrows item (plus if I do get a barrows item I get some extra cash anyway)
