imhomer
Please don't "meh" this. It gives the impression that you don't care about your art and, if this is the case, this means you shouldn't be doing something so time intensive as pixelling. On-topic, here are some tips: The ground is a simple gradient. The colors are too different in darkness. Find more in-between colors and please, please dither and blend. The sky looks pretty good as far as the stars and everything but remember that there's also shading on the sky; lighter near the moon and darker as you move further away. The moon is horrible and looks like you did it in 5 minutes just so you could have a more interesting background to post here. First off, use the circle tool. It's not that hard to make a perfect circle on a computer. Please use shading on the moon, both light and dark colors (it's too dark to start with) and for god's sake don't use black outlines for the moon. This is something I did. It is by no means perfect; the sky differential is too large to make a good job of blending and the moon cratering is odd but it's the most recent night sky I've done. Anyways I've made it a circle, antialiased the edge to make it smoother and used several colors.
