Walk The Road

I took this photo:

 

 

And opened it in CS2 and then duplicated the layer and added a radial blur (zoom) to it (top right hand corner). I changed opacity of the blurred layer so it I could see the blur. After that I selected the blur layer again and used the eraser tool (200 pix) and erased up to the grass. Then I selected the path and added a photo filter to it (Warming 85) and then I adjusted the density untill the colour of the path looked like what I wanted it to. Then I repeated this with a different filter for the grass. Then I added the text (same font as my previous three manipulations - sorry, I will fix it when I have enough time) and adjusted the opacity untill it looked good.

 

Here is the finished result:

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: I just looked and saw the manipulation was too big to fit on the screen - here's a link!

radial blur turned out to look very good IMO, but sidelines of the road are too straight and perfect. They should blend in more with grass, like in original picture. Also, brown color of the road doesn't seem to fit with color scene of the picture.

 

Blur of the trees at the right in the middle next to grass is bit too strong IMO, and color of grass looks too alienish to me. (Is alienish a word, lol?) But if that's what you were after, it is good.

 

 

 

Maybe you should try to make entire picture with same colors as the trees and sky are (black n' whiteish)

The colour of the grass is a little too blue, try making it greener, and less contrast. It just look like a colour jumping out at you. Also, at the edges of the road, make them merge a bit with the grass, and maybe make the road more like grey, rather than brown?
