deloriagod
Ok, I've downloaded Spybot Search & Destroy, ran it, got rid of the spyware it found. Downloaded Adaware, ran it, got rid of the spyware it found. Then I downloaded Spyware Doctor and it found more, but Spyware Doctor costs money and I don't have money to pay for it. Does anyone know a spyware removal program that is better than Spybot S&D/Adaware but is free? Internet Marketing For Newbies
zonda
Sounds like there is something on your computer coninually reinstalling everything you remove. Your probably removing the same things over and over. First off, make sure you have none of those junk screensavers installed, they usually contain a lot of bundled spyware. Update your Adaware and Spybot definitions before you scan. Now restart in safemode by restarting and slamming F8 over and over, choose "safe mode" once you start up, run adaware and whatnot. After you've done all this, restart normally and post a Hijackthis log here please. ...
coltm4carbine
I, personally just use Adaware and spybot. Spyware doctor gives me too many false possitives. (don't flame me for saying this...this was like 2 year ago) You can try windows defender from microsoft. That catches + removes a lot of stuff. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx Be warned. windows defender is still in BETA. DocHopper
I agree. I've never had a problem that those 2 can't solve. It might take a number of runs to catch everything but they should "git-err-done." If possible, make sure you run an updated virus scan too. As technically savvy as spyware writers are getting, some might be found that way too. Doc
darkblade986
Ewido AntiVirus This program is a lifesaver. I had tons of spyware problems on my computer, and this zapped them all. It comes with a 30 day free trial, after which you are not required to subscribe to it, but you lose active protection and auto-updates. Still, it works wonders. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
weezcake
ewido lets you still download updates manually after the trial though. I keep it just in case. Though.. adaware and spybot has never failed me :) ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring.
