To put it simply, the format you saved in (jpg) was designed to handle actual photos (take from the real world). png, was designed to 'advance' an older image compression algoritham (gif), it supports potenially millions of colors.

yep use .png for complex shading and stuff like that ,or .gif if the sig has less than 128 or 256 colors.

decapatation is NOT allowed for sigs.
